I had a great experience with a frustrating situation with the planning department. I would like to mention Donna because she went above and beyond to help me out because the code enforcement department (office and phone staff) is rude and lazy. I needed code enforcement but every single time I called and explained to them what I needed they insisted that I had to talk to planning. So I drove planning crazy when I actually needed code enforcement.I even called city hall to hear it from someone else that I needed code enforcement. That was not happening for some reason.
A guy who was actually in the field took my husbands call because I wasnt getting anywhere and he kindly apologized but explained first code enforcement goes and then if its a violation, planning gets involved.not sure what his name was, but thank you sir. Then Donna who Id bothered so much took it upon her self to get a building inspector out even though it wasnt her job. Naturally code enforcement was my first step and then planning stepped in. She kept me updated on the situation and never complained about helping me out. Thank you Donna and NLR Planning Department for your hard work. Im still waiting on a response from the code enforcement departments director!!!!!!
