Gattis Tammy

Edit: Only after I gave Tammy a one-star review did she FINALLY email me. NOT about my paperwork she's withholding, but of her review. 6 weeks and still no paperwork, yet I get ANOTHER bill (now 26,000$) with no paperwork. She's withholding it because (?) I've paid numerous retainers. Again, for a CHILD MODIFICATION. I could have paid a judge by now. Don't hire her if you ever want a call back, lots of unexplained bills, and a fit over a review. I stand by what I said, if I do get the papers, I'll let y'all know and add a star. Doubt it though. I will say her return comments to reviews are always "the clients fault" never hers.🙄

Do not hire Tammy Gattis. Before her or her staff comments that “I’m not a client” or “this law firm never represented me” let me assure you we hired her and it was a terrible mistake. Tammy does not care about your case, she cares about your money. If your case is not going to bring in much money, she will not give you the time of day. Her staff, specifically Casey, is extremely rude and unhelpful. Josh, the paralegal, really tries but can’t do much with an attorney that won’t do the work. Tammy is like a ghost. She takes your money and then you never see or hear from her again. She does not return phone calls or emails. Overall we had a terrible experience with her and her firm.

called Ms. Tammy's law office to schedule a consultation. It has been a month, she never returned my calls. But the reason why I am giving her a bad review is because her staff was RUDE IN THE EXTREME. The first person to represent your business is the person who answers the phone. She interrupted me as I tried to explain my situation, she also raised her voice a few times. The woman refused to give me her name, she just hanged up the phone in my face. The only thing I could obviously point out was that she had a speech impediment.

I called to schedule an appointment for a consultation and the person, a male, answered the phone. He started out by saying that Ms Gattis was very busy and that she may have to call me back to conduct the consultation over the phone. I then answered a series of questions as to why I was seeking legal counsel. I was told someone would call me back. It has been two weeks and counting but no one from the firm has reached out to me. Total lack of professionalism.

I will say Tammy is a good Attorney.When she wants to be. My case was almost 2 years long due to covid. I had to pay at least 22,000 as she added a new retainer...just to cancel. Twice. For personal reasons. Understandable, but I never got a detailed bill, and she WILL call ONE HOUR PRIOR TO COURT DEMANDING ANOTHER RETAINER OR SHE WILL "NOT APPEAR" Even if you're 3 retainers in. Its a scare tactic and a bully move. Its been 4 weeks since court, and I still have not gotten the paperwork that was "only going to be a few days" At first, Josh, the paralegal, is nice...while he's asking for the money...then no word for months. Final review? Yeah, she MAY win but be prepared to hear lots of "only another $6000" and "call back later" to never hear. IM calling the BBB. I'll add it was a modification of custody. Took advantage of covid and got rich doing it. Shameful. Didn't even attempt to make things right. "$12,000" at the MOST...yeah..
