I want to start by saying that I had an awful, long, and protracted experience with this Nissan service center. Originally, I had a body arm control module that was fried because of some stripped wires. When I brought my truck up there, they essentially refused to fix it because they suggested it would be too expensive and arduous to fix. After hearing this, my father and I went out to buy our own body arm control module and spliced it in the truck. All we needed was a technician to reprogram the module to my specific truck since it was a blank module. They initially refused to do this because the module we bought was after market, so I was stuck in a state of limbo for nearly 5-6 months. Nobody else had Nissan codes to reprogram my vehicle because the codes to reprogram them are almost exclusively owned by Nissan. Through some lucky stroke of fate, my father happened to know a guy that owned a dealership that had worked with this Nissan dealership before. The owner of the dealership stated that they were notoriously hard to work with, but he gave them a call on our behalf. After this call, they were suddenly willing to try reprogramming my vehicle. All it took was some other dealership owner asking them a favor which is ridiculous. After taking it back up there, they reprogrammed it and it would run again. However, there multiple systems on the truck that were not working. In fact, they told me only a couple of the systems were not working such as the door windows not functioning and the locking mechanism for the truck not working. They suggested that it is still drivable though. When I go to pick it up, within five minutes, I notice that the blinkers dont work, headlights dont work, windshield wipers dont work, tail lights and brake lights arent working. I went back into the service center and handed them back my keys. I said this truck is not in drivable condition. I dont understand how any technician worth his weight in salt could miss so many additional things that are painfully obvious like headlights and blinkers not functioning. This is indicative of a complete lack of care going into the job. After keeping it for another week, they called me back and told me I needed to replace my wiring harness for $1,800 to fix the additional issues like headlights, windows, tail lights, and locking mechanisms that werent functioning. I called my father to ask him if I needed to take out a small loan to fix my truck. He told me to wait on that because he wanted to talk to them first. After talking to them, he told me not to let them do anything else to the truck because they could not confidently tell him why the wiring harness would fix my issues. He drove up to Jonesboro to look at it himself. He was able to quickly deduce that it only needed some fuses that were blown. After spending $60 and a few hours replacing different fuses and running around to source the fuses, we got all the systems back up and running. Even if they had replaced my wiring harness for $1800 like they suggested, the systems in my truck still wouldnt have functioned because all it needed was some replacement fuses. They have some of the sorriest technicians I have ever come across, and I dont make that accusation lightly. They showed negligence in not only diagnosing the problems, but in suggesting solutions to the problems as well. These solutions would have put me in unwarranted debt while not addressing the actual problems in my truck. My experience was so bad that I will likely never buy another Nissan because I dont want to have to rely on another service center like this one. The customer is obviously not the focus of such a business model. I do not recommend their facilities at all. However, the ladies working in the service center are very kind so that was nice. Overall, it was a horrific experience.
