Basin Park Hotel

Do NOT stay on the 5th floor if there is, or is going to be, a function in the 6th floor Ballroom. Incredibly noisy, even at 2 and 3 a.m. To their credit, they did comp me for the first night of hell and gave me a quieter room on the third floor. Hotel parking is .8 miles away from the building in a relatively isolated location and not secure.

The only reason you didn't get a zero for service is due to your excellent shuttle driver! The rest of your staff could use some training. Front desk personnel got agitated when receiving calls for the shuttle. They hung up on me while I was trying to ask a question. No bell hop service offered. Rooms are not very clean. The fire alarm went off at 4 AM. NO call or instructions from the staff as to what to do. I answered a survey from the Basin exactly like this and have not received a reply. Very disappointed as this was probably my first and last trip to Eureka Springs due to this experience.

Loved the room but it was a little small. The convenience of a whiskey bar and a restaurant on the second floor was awesome. I was disappointed that you couldn't sit on the balcony and just have drinks and listen to the music you had to order food. Otherwise we had an amazing time and the employees we encounter were very good at there job and very friendly/polite! Rooms: The room we stayed in was a little small considering the price but it was clean and very nice. Walkability: The hotel is on a hill (what isn't in Eureka Springs) so you need to be in good walking shape or plan to use the shuttle service. They have stairs to every floor but it's probably worth waiting for the elevator unless you are either going to a lower level or just want to work off some calories. Food & drinks: The food we had was very good and paired well with the price point.
