Out of a desperate attempt to help my busy husband and first talking it over with him. I took his only dependable vehicle to this shop. To get an alignment done on it. There were no problems with the vehicle when I pulled it in there to get the mechanic work done on it yesterday. The guy behind the counter said he could get it done for us for 243 dollars and get it done within 2 in a half ours of labor. He said the fee included replacing ball joints and tie rods and labor fee. So we were relieved it wasn't going to cost more. Trusting them we agreed to let them work on it. It took longer than 2 and a half hours. During the our vehicle was in the bay and racked we were told it would cost an extra 50 dollars because they had to order a control arm half way a crossed conway. They said the old ball joint was welded to the control arm. They brought the control arm in and showed me. Told me i could take it home to show my husband. After two hours our vehicle was still in the bay i went out to watch them work on it. I saw a man with a long red beard working on it. Was told it wouldnt take much longer by the guy behind the desk. 40 minutes later i saw some one test driving it down Dave ward. It seemed as though the person that was test driving it was driving it fast and rough. A handsome man that also worked in the bay came in the waiting room and flirted with me. I thought that was weird but sweet. The man behind the counter brought a colorful diagram of the alignment supposedly done on our vehicle and explained to me what it all meant. I posted it on here also. Turns out they wouldn't work on the rear ball joints and tie rods because they were too rusty. At least that's what the man behind the desk told me. I never got to talk to the mechanic that worked on the car. After I paid the business with my husbands hard earned money i got in it started it and the exhaust was louder sounding than normal and the whole vehicle shaked in idle. When i put it in gear to back up it shaked. I pulled it back into the parking spot and it shaked. I went in and ask the man behind the desk why our only dependable vehicle was now suddenly messing up and he said he would check with a computer. During the check he told me a few codes P0400 permanent and current. What ever that means. EGR A FLO P0201. Now we knew about the EGR but suddenly we had an injector problem. This wasnt a problem before I brought it in to their shop. I have two witnesses to account for everything I wrote in this post. When I told the guy behind the desk that was testing our vehicle that it didnt do this before he said the vehicle was acting like that when he pulled it in the dock. He didnt even talk to the mechanic with the long beard what i was claiming and neither one tried to rectify the issue. We will never take our vehicle to another place like this again next time its going to a dealership.
