Great school, love the teachers. They seem to really love the kids.

Please DO NOT send your kids to this school. If it had not been for our BCBA or RBT coming in to help the teachers with my child's behaviors we would not have known about the neglect that is happening there. If teachers and staff are neglecting kids in front of observers, how are they treating your child when observers aren't there? There is no instruction being implemented at any time.
We asked for a meeting several times and our meeting requests were ignored. We requested for our child to be moved to another room and the director informed us that she talked with his therapists who recommended that he stay in his current classroom. When the owners of the therapy clinic reached out to me, they informed me that the director/owner had never even reached out to his therapists to ask their opinion on this matter.
If you are still considering this school, PLEASE do your research!

Many reliable sources have told me about the "teachers" (this "school" does not require a degree or any kind of specialized autism training whatsoever) slapping the special needs children in the face.

I have also witnessed firsthand one of these so-called teachers angrily yelling at a special needs child while I was there to pick up my own.

Our nonverbal autistic son began exhibiting violent (and alarming) behaviors soon after starting at Compass. These included slapping mainly, but then punching, and even grabbing around his mother's throat (he did not learn that at home, I'll guarantee ya that).

We took our son to many, many doctors and specialists trying to find out what was causing these behaviors, all while Compass was playing dumb and acting concerned.

It takes a special kind of evil to abuse any child, but a special needs child? Come on.

My son would also come home with perfect-looking work, and all of the work was well beyond his capability anyway. There have been MULTIPLE visits to the "school" at different times of day, and no instruction was being done...rather, the "teachers" were engaging in gossip, and playing on their mobile devices...ignoring the kids' needs....except for mine. They treated him like a king when other were watching...but still were so into their routine of giving zero instruction and treating kids badly that it was obvious to the observers something was going on.

Please believe what I'm telling you. I have zero reason to make this up. Avoid this place for the sake of your child.
