My son is grown now but I felt this needed to be said. He would have a cold every year that would progress over a month or two from sinus infection to bronchitis to near pneumonia. Dr Brashesrs never once gave him an antibiotic despite how obviously sick he was. Home treatment wasnt cutting it. It was not a virus. I would have to call my RN ex MIL who was verbally abusive so she would ask a doctor she knew for a prescription. My son would then finally get better.
When he was a teenager I started taking him to my doctor and there were times he needed an inhaler and steroids as well as antibiotics for his URIs and it was night and day the difference in care.
One of my coworkers at the hospital said she didnt understand why he wouldnt because he would write her kid a script any time she asked when she caught him walking the hallway at Saline for the sniffles because they went to high school together.
What the heck? My son was plainly suffering and could have progressed to pneumonia if I hadnt reached out. I was paying for level 4 visits with nothing to show for it and my son didnt want to go to the doctor because of his lack of treatment Why go? Hes not going to do anything.
I was young and dumb and too shy to know to just try a different doctor until he had been put through this nonsense for years.
I wish I had known better then but I can write this now. I cant imagine he has changed.

So far no issues at all. Wait can be some what long occasionally but other than that the staff makes you feel welcome and at ease (even when carrying a screaming newborn as a first time mom). Pic of baby girl for reference Thank you Dr. Brashears
