A long review & story below but this is the WORST AUTO SHOP EVER BEEN TO. I'm normally not one to write reviews but I felt like I needed to write this one as my experience was exceptionally HORRIBLE. My husband and I came from Montana to Arkansas for a wedding. We drive a Jeep & are aware of how often Jeeps have mechanical or engine failures. On Friday evening our check engine light came on, one of the worst things that could happen on a cross country road trip. After looking at reviews of many mechanic shops within a 50 mile radius of where we were staying Charlies Tires & Autos had the best reviews for reasons unbeknownst to me with 20/20 hindsight. Charlie promptly answered my call with a text saying hey bring it in Saturday morning at 9am which was the best news! Im not sure if my voicemail of being a young twenty something girl allowed him to rip me off or flipped a switch in his head to be so extremely unprofessional & disrespectful to me but something was not right. Our auto shop from our home called to see what repairs needed to be done to see if they needed to take accountability for any of it as they did some big repairs prior to us heading out on this road trip. Charlie, the owner, was so incredibly rude to our shop and hung up on him in the middle of their conversation. Charlie also sent me text messages that were completely uncalled for after this exchange. Instead of CALLING ME like any good and honest businessman would and to have an open dialogue about what happened, as I was unaware of any wrongdoing by our shop at home. They are good and honest people who my family has worked with for YEARS. At the end once our Jeep was finished being worked on and ready to be picked up our experience with Charlie continued to be horrible. I was told by someone at the shop that my Mom could call and make payment with her card over the phone. Prior to this, Charlie requested that I pay with cash which was not possible for me. As soon as I got to the shop, I waited to be checked out. Charlie then would not allow my mom to call and pay as discussed. Weve both worked in banking, we understand how common fraud is and if Charlie would have gave us a reason we would have absolutely understood. My mom tried to call the shop two times to see how she could take care of this payment and he SENT HER TO VOICEMAIL two times. The amount of cowardess and disrespect from Charlie to his customer was insane. Something I have never ever seen in a retail or service transaction. Not to mention I was in tears and Charlie made no effort to be helpful nor even address me or talk to me. He completely ignored me. More than anything else - STAY AWAY- this shop and owner are not to be trusted. He is disrespectful, unkind, and cowardly. I have nothing but bad things to say about this shop and the owner. John, the mechanic that worked on our Jeep was fantastic. I have nothing but great things to say about him.

I'm not from Alma. My car was broken down & they stayed open late to help me. They were honest & did not try to upsale me.

I called them and asked if they had time to do an oil change on my car. They said yeah we can get you in. Come on! They drove my car straight in and allowed me to pick out my oil. Prices were good and everyone was super friendly. Thank you!!!

Fast turn-around installation of tubes in mower tires for a reasonable price. Will return again as needed in the future.
