Vista SC Painting

Description of Complaint: We hired Vista paint SC to refinish and paint our cabinets, a quote was given, a scope of work given, and start date was established, the job was to take 3-4 days. the quote was fair and in line with other quotes given, the owner gave us other options of things we decided to also contract him do do. (paint other areas). a deposit was requested and paid, 50% up front 50% upon completion. We again confirmed the start date and expressed we were under a time crunch to get the project complete. the owner had no issues and said they would be done by Thursday at the latest. this fell in the original time frame. the week approached for the work, and i got a call that his crew finished another job early and was able to start on our job 2 days early if that was ok, i said yes. they showed on time as discussed, work happened and progress was made, that is where things stopped. over the next week the crew was a no show each day each day a different excuse was made. again the timeline and since of urgency discussed this was going to put us in a bind. we got to the end of the week and needed to hire another contractor to finish the work (now over deadline). in total 5 phone calls ignored, multiple emails, and text messages all ignored and no communication. when the owner finally did show he apologized, but they got stuck on the same job they said they completed, he was informed because his lack of communication and no shows another contractor was hired to do the work, i asked for a refund of the original deposit to which he said he did not have it because he was upside down in the other job. he stated he would call me later in the day when he could figure things out. i have since called/messaged him multiple times about refunding what was not done. no answer to date. to add further insult the owner also was not using the agreed upon materials per the contract. he was using off branded materials, zero communication, lots of issues, had to hire another company to do the work on time because of the lack of professionalism and constant no shows to finish work started. I couldnt be happier. I hired Brian and Vista SC because both of my neighbors had their houses painted by them. I painted houses for 4 years in the 90s so I knew what to look for. Brian and his crew were very detailed and professional in their work and the results showed it. Great results at a fair price. Its good to know that I have found my go to company for my future painting needs. My next project will be to have them paint my indoor staircase. Cheers! Service: Exterior painting

Hired Vista Painting to help us paint our new house that we were in the middle of trying to move into. Brian our lead painter started right away in the exterior so we were happy at first. He didnt paint a portion of our exterior because there was a bush in the way and his team couldnt work around it. I told him Id trim the bush back so they could get to it- that portion of the column in the front of our house that s still not painted. Brian and his team did zero prep on our interior surfaces. They just came in and sprayed the entire place over with paint. They sealed nothing, filled in no cracks and just painted over anything that was sitting on surfaces like a set of house keys for example. Brian kept requesting more money and at the time it seemed like his team was working pretty regularly so we gave him what he asked for every time. Then the no shows and call out started as soon as he was paid in fullmy family is as left with no deadbolt locks on our home, no doors hung that Brian took down the hike here, no cabinet doors on in our kitchen that he was going to hook us up by painting. The exterior still needs to be finished as well as our kitchen. Many other places in the house need more coats of paint. We have paid Vista Painting $12,000 cash and cannot get a hold of anyone for a partial refund for a job not completed. We lost additional money because we need to buy new locks- Brian never left a key to the previous locks we bought and paid for. Havent heard from Brian or anyone else lose at Vista and we highly recommend staying away from this business. Shady shady and poor communication.
