Im not usually one to leave reviews but this experience was beyond disappointing and out of my 10 years of getting acrylics and regularly visiting salons this was my worst experience. I used to love this location back in 2016 but havent found myself here since then due to me moving to Phoenix. I was back visiting and was missing two acrylic nails that have broken off, and a few others were cracked and about to pop off as well, I couldve done it at home but I wanted to get them taken off quickly before my plans. This is some thing I do often when the circumstance comes up. My friend was with me and I told her that it would only take about 10 minutes the latest and we would be in and out, that is what always happens when this situation occurs. They asked if I wanted a manicure as well and I said no. I just wanted my remaining acrylic nails taken off. Nothing else was needed. If they wanted to cut my nails shorter they can, but I didnt want anything else. Made it extremely clear to them. I was immediately sat and the lady brought out the tools needed to soak acrylics off. I have never soaked my acrylics off and I told her that. I specifically said people always just pop off my nails, I dont ever soak them off. She ignored me and started putting the acetone on my finger and wrapped up my first finger, The acrylic nail was barely hanging on. I told her that it should be easier just to pop them off because they are already falling off. She continued to put acetone on my other finger. I just accepted that she wanted to do it her way and assumed that they would melt quickly since most were already broken and falling off. She proceeded to put acetone on my bare fingernails that had no acrylics on them. Why?? After wrapping up all my fingers she left and would come back every 10 minutes and check my pinky, file it down for a second, and re-wrap it. Time passes and at this point it had probably been 30 minutes of her checking and filing that one specific pinky. I had already mentioned how it was unnecessary and didnt want to look like a Karen. I just was telling myself to remain patient and let her do her thing. After about 45 minutes she finally unwrapped all of my fingers and brought out all of her drills and proceeded to use 2 different drills to slowly take off each acrylic nail. Some fingers she re-wrapped for no reason, it was a process that finally took well over an hour. I was so annoyed at this point, I knew that she was going to charge me for using all of her supplies that were not necessary at all. Never in my 10 years had this happened, I understand that soaking them off is necessary if you have a really thin natural nails underneath and its painful to pop off. My nails underneath were strong and since they were already coming off it was not painful at all. Popping them off wouldve taken less than five minutes and I made it clear that thats all I wanted multiple times. All she said was that I am almost finished. At the end, over an hour and 15 min of re-wrapping and slowly filing and drilling with all of her drills she of course charged me $15. $15 to take off my remaining acrylics that were already loose. At any other salon they will charge me nothing or five dollars if anything. I always tip well. I had to sit through the most ridiculous, unnecessary process I have ever sat through. I was ignored twice. My friend knew that they were ripping me off and she was being extremely patient with me, even though she had places to be as well. I absolutely regret coming here. This is also a PSA to be stern if they dont listen to you, because letting them know politely is not enough at this location. They will rip you off and take unnecessary measures to up the price. I really liked this location in the past and I didnt want to believe that they would rip me off. I had faith that she knew what she was doing and I would be out of there in no time. I have never left a salon more disappointed in my life. I cant wait to visit literally any other salon so they wont take advantage of me.
