Rubs Massage Studio - Wilmot

Instead of reaching out to a manager, I will just edit my response to include the details regarding my most recent experience with rubs. In the past this was my go-to spot for a massage/relaxation. Last weekend I put in an online request for a massage appointment (initial attempt), I was called by a rubs employee to confirm the appointment about two days later (second contact). The day of the appointment I call in to confirm how early I should show up and I am told that there is no appointment set (third contact). The receptionist who answered the phone then said "we do have openings today..." but instead of providing a solution/moving forward and suggesting to book me, she proceeds to provide a long winded explanation as to why my booking request was probably not on file (I don't know how your booking systems work, nor should that be my concern as a customer). To be fair, she could have just left it at "I see that we do have availability for you today", or something like "we appreciate you calling in prior to coming in, would you still like to book an appointment?" I would have said yes. I did not appreciate the overall tone of the receptionist lady I was speaking to and simply ended up hanging up as the tone of her voice started droning/she seemed to simply be repeating something she has told many customers in the past, insincere (like ok, I get it you probably do not care if someone gets a massage or not but still focus on the business you are representing hello) it was a strange interaction overall it just left a bad taste in my mouth and I figured, "why continue going here if setting an appointment seems to cause that much trouble for you guys?" Thank you for responding to my review. Professionalism here has gone downhill over the last year from what I have noticed. *Edit/update* : Ashley called me back and left a voicemail saying that there was an appointment set after all. All that for nothing. Come on, Ashley!

Wife and I went in today for couples massage, was very excited but turned awkward immediately. We 100% support DEI, however I think this should be something that should be made clear before you walk in the door. My wife's masseuse declared that he was developmentally disabled after she had disrobed and made the appointment very uncomfortable after that proclamation. Now on to my masseuse, after hearing her cell phone chirp several times I looked up and saw her massaging me with 1 hand and texting on her other hand. Not thrilled with this experience.
