With any schools, you have to really think about if you are willing to go into debt for them. Is this school worth that? I did the MA program. I can't speak for the other programs. But for my experience, I wouldn't recommend this school for the MA program. I regret the debt. I do like that they help with job placement for life. That's fine However, they will tell you over and over that you can take a MA cert. to other fields such as Phlebotomy/Lab or EKG monitoring or Pharmacy(the sky is the limit)All you have to do is take their national tests and get the certification . I came to find out that that is a LIE. Healthcare places do not want ppl on their team who haven't been trained in that field because that person will be a liability to the company(which is fair. That's their right). That's why national certifications are specific to each job. I feel like this part that they sell you is complete false advertising. Do not listen to that. Essentially you're the secretary to the doctor and that's it. Your career pathway is MA to Lead MA. If you're happy being that along with pay being the same pay as a Target and McDonald's worker, that's awesome for you and your life. But to give ppl hope that you can soar, that's wrong. In reality you would have to go back to school and start over(especially so because the credits you earn here don't transfer to most schools)You have a better chance to progress if you are a nurse or a rad tech just in general, not referring to the school nurse and radiology programs. The MA program is rushed. The pre-reqs are nice. It's the computer and lab courses that are unacceptable. The computer simulations give you an idea somewhere in the ball park of what EMRs/EHRs do but in the real world, its quite different. So you leave that course under prepared. That lab course is crazy. We spent too much time on vitals and no time on other things(maybe because that was going to be the things you mainly do as a MA. You don't do a lot of in office procedures unless you're in Derm or urology maybe sports med. Doctors do things for themselves) . We skipped some things actually. The blood part has an appropriate amount of time. They require you to do like 25 vitals on 25 different students. However, 1 your class may not have that many 2 if your classmates want to stick with their own cliques, have fun with that(and the bullying if you're even more fortunate) And PMI will try to sell to you and keep reminding you about a bachelor's degree for medical administration. Now wait a minute...If my MA cert can supposedly fly me to the moon, why would I need that? I feel like this school ran for 50 years because of false advertising and people not fully grasping that ma work is not what they portray it to be. But again this is just my experience in the MA program. Maybe it's better for the nurse program. They have more activities and stuff for them which makes sense because they are going to be nurses lol. And where is the principle? I only seen him like 2x my whole year there. I feel like the office ladies really try to keep him away from the issues of the school and cover up everything. And he's thinking it's milk and honey but it's cottage cheese and cough syrup. But again this is just my experience in the MA program. It could be different in the other programs and in the other PMI location in PHX. Pro: job placement,Scrubs that you can wear to interviews, pre-reqs, BLS/CPR certified Cons:False advertising of what MA work is and what the certification entails, Unorganized program, the constant hounding to buy a bachelor's degree, high school culture in adult education, biases for certain students.Teachers will gossip about other students to students. But it's okay guys! They aren't using their names! Gossip=gossip Stop gaslighting ppl to believe something is nothing(hmmm, very reflective of healthcare field) I 1000 percent regret attending this school and going into debt for it.
