Institute of Religion - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

I've been to many churches of various denominations lately, and I have been very impressed with this one because they don't pass around an offering plate, and they are super friendly and inviting. Multiple people remembered my name from just brief interactions the following time I came! There's alot of stigma and stereotypes I grew up hearing about this denomination and so far many have proven to be false. This church congregation puts Jesus first and Joseph Smith 2nd. I'm not so sure about Joseph Smith and the foundation of this whole denomination myself to be very honest. But! But! This community carries value in tradition, has high morals and standards for themselves, and they try so very hard to follow God obediently. It's very attractive when the entire community actively is trying to better themselves and to live life as healthy as possible. Plus almost everyone is my age (20-30) and that's very awesome when you see your peers get up and proclaim their love for the lord. Seriously, I don't know if I'll ever be a true believer of their book of Mormon, but they gave me one and I'm reading it with thoughtful prayer and consideration. I do believe that they have alot to offer me regardless. Hope this helps any others who have considered participating. I'm not a member and they welcomed me with open arms. Give it a try for yourself and go for a visit! Just be prepared that the missionaries will want to follow up with you and have a meeting at your house, which I gladly accepted and look forward to more visits as we discuss my own views and the differences between Mormons and my own upbringing as a Lutheran.
