I just want to start this off by saying Im a handful, medically speaking. I have a lot of conditions that combined cause serious symptoms. I tend to fit the rarity box and have trouble finding docs who will listen completely and take their time understanding me, my situation and how to approach it. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Janardhanan. I have recently had my first appointment with him and already hes discovered a PFO and has me scheduled to come in for further testing asap. He even personally checks in with me on his own time to update me. His scheduling is really backed up for testing but hes amongst the best at what he does and I am honored to be working with him and his team to hopefully get to the bottom of my symptoms. I have a gut feeling itll all be worth it!

First and foremost, I am so blessed to have found Dr J. In the sea of Cardiologist to choose from, I feel Dr J was a God send when I was looking for someone to care for my heart. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in good hands. Dr J is professional, intelligent, knowledgable and thorough while still being personable, caring and very funny. He is a great listener and makes you feel completely at ease when talking with him. He is meticulous when caring for you, making sure he doesn't miss anything. He made me feel like I was a family member with his caring and sincere demeanor. I recommended Dr J to all my friends and family because after meeting Dr J, I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for me, my loved ones, and friends.

Dr. J is a caring, friendly doctor who takes the time to listen to your concerns and address them. He takes the time to get to know his patients, he is thorough in his work ups and very pleasant. I highly recommend him as a cardiologist.

Dr. Janardhanan makes very clear that effective care for his patients comes first. He stands up to bureaucracy and red tape, and does not rest until the patient receives the care needed. Please consider Dr. J as your first choice for cardiac care in Tucson.

For several years I have battled chest discomfort and hypertension and doctors have not been able to solve the mystery, why. I am 47 years old (young), never smoked, eat a clean, healthy diet and work out. I was placed on a couple of different medications, but really did not feel better, nor did my blood pressure improve. I began to concern myself that perhaps my problems were all in my head, and if I would just push myself, I would get better. I increased my cardio and yoga workouts, but nothing made me feel better. The fatigue worsened, as did the chest discomfort and heaviness I constantly felt. While the doctors there were nice and compassionate, they sent me home telling me, We arent sure why your blood pressure is so high. Your EKG is fine. Maybe it is stress? But we *can* tell you, you have AFIB. Not a lot of peace from that response, nor comfort. So we began doing our own research to find the best cardiologist in Tucson. That research led us to Dr. Janardhanan, and now I want to tell you why I believe he saved my life. Dr. J was stumped why I was having such discomfort and ordered a series of tests. Among those tests: an MRI/CT scan of my heart. Dr. Janardhanan is the first doctor I have seen in three years, who ordered this test, and he found what appeared to be a blockage. The day I had this MRI/CT scan, your nurse, Lori Noirot, cared for me. Lori was not only professional, but she was extremely compassionate. I did not feel like just another patient on her watch. I felt like a human being for whom she genuinely cared. Furthermore, behind the curtains, I could hear the way Lori spoke to other nurses, and was so moved by how kind she was to everyone. It is obvious Loris history and experiences places her at a level above some of the other nurses, yet I never heard her speaking down to them. It was always uplifting, kind and encouraging. She must be a manager of some sort, because it shows in the way she leads those around her. When my husband and I had my follow up visit with Dr. J, he expressed deep concern for this possible blockage. He told us we could wait, or we could have the angiogram, but his thoughts were to proceed with the angiogram. Dr. J handled everything from there. In our opinion, he went above and beyond to treat my condition. The person Dr. J found for me, was Dr. Madhan Sundaram. In less than a month, my procedure was scheduled. Dr. Sundaram went in and found, indeed, I had 80-90% blockage, and they put in a stent. He said he was surprised how tight this blockage was. Please know, we understand the severity and level of importance this blockage was, and just how worse my outcome could have been had we not found Dr. Janardhanan. Without a doubt, we believe Dr. Janardhanan saved my life. My childhood was spent in Nashville, TN. My father worked for HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). It was there where Dr. Thomas Frist, SR once told my dad a saying he said, often. Good people beget good people. From your appointment schedulers on the phone, to Adela at your front desk/check out, to nurse Barbara, to nurse Lori Noirot, to the nurses and techs in the CT and MRI scan, to Dr. Janardhanan, we see how good people beget good people. Dr. Janardhanan saved my life. Without a doubt. And he will be my cardiologist for the rest of my life. (So if he ever leaves, my husband and I will have to follow him, wherever he goes!) I cannot thank Dr. Janardhanan enough. It pains me to think about what could have happened to me, had we not found him, and had he not insisted on running multiple tests.
