I have a 1998 MBZ SL500 that I bought new and it still looks almost like when I bought it. For me it's a car thing. Either you have this illness or not. If you don't have it, stop reading. Over the past few years the inevitable service requirements of a 27 year old car have grown and Mercedes ability and willingness to provide an acceptable level of service at a reasonable cost has pretty much vanished, at least in Tucson. My latest and last adventure was a year ago when my convertible top stopped working. At Chapman they complained the about 14 hydraulic lifts, how difficult the repair would be and, sure enough, it took 10 days to fix the car. They charged 3500 dollars (what choice did I have?) and fixed only 6 of 14 lifts. The worse part though was that they would not guarantee the repair. The service advisor cautioned me to "use sparingly". Sparingly? It failed the first time I tried to put the top down. This is where I finally started searching for alternatives and was fortunate to Keith at European Service. It took a couple weeks after the parts Keith ordered came in to get the car in (he didn't ask me to pay anything in advance) and then a couple weeks at his shop but he completely replaced all 14 lifts and related parts for 1200 dollars. When I asked if I needed to use sparingly he assured me that this was not a concern. He chuckled and said something along the lines "abuse it if you want, it will last and last...". If you have an old or a "new" but out-of-warranty German car (all makes) European Service is a great choice. When it's time, my Audi is going here too.

What fantastic customer service. 100% recommended, and a floor show to boot. Laughed every minute we were there.

I had a great experience at European Service. Keith was very helpful and understanding. The repair to my VW Jetta was fast and now runs great. The cost was about what I expected. I couldnt ask for better service. Thanks Keith for all your help!
