I love the folks at this shop. I took my 1963 Chevy Impala SS convertible for some restoration work. They did everything I asked and then some. The paint job is stunning and they executed my vision for new upholstery to perfection. Everyone there, David, Ryan & the irrepressible Mary, are friendly & approachable. They answered all my (sometimes, dumb) questions honestly and promptly. They are true professionals and proud of their craft. I have been very pleased with the work and their interactions with me. I would recommend them without question. In fact, I am going back to get some more work done.

So me and a buddy did a engine swap on a 91 ford f150 took a inline 6 out & swapped with 7.5l. It once started but than didn't & would not drive when gas was pressed so there was issues I couldn't solve, so I took it to this "custom" shop. I took 2 loans out combined worth of $5,146.61 USD that they had suggested from there shop because they couldnt come up with a price or amount for me to pay (Im not rich I proably had 1,500 bucks in my account). That they recommended due to "not knowing how long "wiring issues" will take or why it isn't starting. One good thing I will say is they call & communicate good & hey they got it to start but was not drivable still. So this was all after I took a loan of $5,146.61 USD. That's alot of money & still they suggested to take another loan out to fix the truck. I'll give a breakdown of where the money went scripted on the invoice I have. $1,887 Labor wiring issues $940.50 Labor start up issue "getting vechile running properly" $487.50 Labor Fuel tank of corrosion $1,500 Misc work diagnosing wiring adjustments Last starter solenoid & fuel pump strainer kit "shop supplies" worth $306.87 Now looks to me they worked proably about 2 days on my truck & used the loan amount on other projects for other customers vechiles as you know my truck is a 91 ford f150 how bad could it be I wouldn't mind if I paid this much to actually have vechile running smooth & street drivable. So if there suggesting you to take a loan out & they'll tell you to just see how much they'll lend you. Don't do it I wouldn't recommend them maybe there strong points are something else but repairing a old farm truck was too much for them. *funny note my invoice they put 91 Ford F150 5.3l.... it has a 7.5l 460 big block.

This place is the best! I went in to get a new engine for my 2012 Silverado. And from day one talking to Mary on the phone, I could tell they were professional and the real deal. When I went to the shop to talk to the mechanics, David and Ryan, they walked me through all options I could do for my truck. I went with a new engine and once it got to the shop the guys were done installing it within two days of it arriving. The knowledge and professional here is second to none. I also had a grinding sound that I needed them to check out in addition to the new engine and the guy it a bad transfer case, so I ordered a transfer case and dropped it off and they had it installed the next day before noon. Quick and quality work and great communication. They never tried to up sale me on anything, they didnt try to tell me I needed something when I didnt. I felt great knowing my truck was in this shop. I got my truck back and I couldnt be happier, the truck drives better than it ever has before.Im ecstatic about the work that was done. Ill be back for more work in the near future. If youre looking for any mechanic work done to your vehicle I strongly advise you to stop by Sharps. Mary is great at her job and is great with communication. David and Ryan are skilled mechanics that will answer any question you got and they do quality work.

Good day, Carlos,I am in shock at the review you wrote regarding your 1991 Ford F-150 that arrived at our shop on Feb 20, 2023. We are very sorry that you feel this way and is concerning as we want every customer that has work done here at Sharps Custom Automotive leaves pleased with their services. When you brought your vehicle in you listed your vehicle concerns as (you attempted to do a conversion yourself but now vehicle won't start, wiring issues & transmission issues. When my technician diagnosed/evaluated your vehicle, we advised you that the wiring in your vehicle was rigged terribly & would take time to fix it the proper way. We also explained that our technician would have to find the issues and cause of the no start. Our policy is to contact the customer once we have a diagnosis with a quote for parts & labor or a close estimate as possible. Unfortunately, there is no way to estimate ahead of time on how many hours it would take to fix the wiring problem especially the state that your vehicle was in. Labor hours vary when it comes to wiring repairs. However many hours it takes to complete the wiring repairs is what we charge for. We never want to charge you a numbered amount of hours for wiring repairs if it didn't take that many hours to complete the repair. This is why we only charge for the hours the technician actually took to do the repair. We did make you aware of this and you gave us approval to move forward with repairs. We also advised you at that time that your vehicle needed a lot of work & it was in such a disarray that it would take some time to complete. As we spoke you understood this. You also apologized about the condition your truck arrived in. You also came in on 02/21/2023 to speak to Ryan & David as they also explained to you our charging policy & the extend of work your truck needed. Moving forward to the financing. You had indicated that you did not have much money, so I sent you links to our financing companies that we use. Once you applied you were approved thru SNAP and EasyPay finance. We submitted the invoice to the finance companies, and they approved the funding to fix your truck. We charged you accordingly for parts & repairs you approved. Parts: Starter Solenoid (1) $33.88, Fuel Pump & Strainer Set (1) $230.49, Labor: Wiring issues 12.58 hrs @ $150.00 per hr $1887.00, Start Up Issues - Get vehicle properly 6.27 hrs @ $150.00 per hr $940.50, Cleaned Fuel Tank of Corrosion 3.25 hrs @ $150.00 per hr $487.50, Misc work - Diagnosing - Wiring adjustments 10 hrs @ $150.00 per hr $1500.00, Taxes $24.74 for a Total of $5146.61. SNAP Finance Funded $3629.86 and EasyPay Finance Funded $1516.75. We did not over charge you or under charge you. We charged you for the exact hours it took to repair your vehicle. If you did not feel comfortable with pricing, you should have advised us that you did not want to proceed with any repairs. You wanted your vehicle fixed, we gave you the options available for funding the repairs and you approved the work. I cannot stress to you how much work your vehicle needed not to mention you were completely aware of the extend of it. You advised us that you could not afford anymore because you were trying to purchase a house so once you stated to halt additional repairs we did so at your request. What is bewildering to us is that you the truck owner brought in a 1991 Ford F-150 with so many problems. You suggested in your review that we only worked on your vehicle for 2 days and used some of the funds towards other projects or other customers vehicles. We do not do that here at Sharps Custom Automotive. We are in the business for automotive repairs not fraud. We custom build for Barrett Jackson from the ground up so a farm truck is no problem for us. Like we stated to get your vehicle drivable would of cost much more due to the severity of problems your vehicle has. Also, your funding went towards your vehicle only not anything else or anyone else's vehicle.
