ive never had any issues with this store before. ive always liked looking at the antiques. one afternoon i had spotted a strawberry rooster statue ,but i didnt purchase him. a couple weeks went by and i was still thinking about this rooster. so i called first thing in the morning to verify its still there, i live on the west side of town this is a 30 min drive easy. Anyway i called the store and i was met with some seriously sour CS. the convo started normal but very quickly took a left. after i had described the item to the lady she went off to say that "shes NEVER seen anything like that" asked me if i had the right store as they would never carry something so tacky. "Its already been sold" in between all this im describing the location of the statue "on a book shelf near the front register, if you could take a quick look?" she refused to look further into in and insistently denying the roosters existence. i just apologized for inconveniencing her and hung up. Due her behavior i loaded up into my car and drove across town. i wasnt going to let this lazy employee gaslight me as i had a photo of it from my last visit. you cannot tell me its not real! ironically enough when i arrived i had run into the same lady who answered the phone. this time we had both walked into the store at the same time. she was just and arms length ahead of me. no problem. she held the door open for me since i was so close. i smiled and said thank you. all of this a normal HUMAN encounter. then very quickly again- sour -she didnt hear me. so she started throwing sassy "your welcome" at me as if i just kicked her dog. i didnt realize she was talking to me until she was even louder and physically turning to my direction looking for some ACKNOWLEDGMENT. this lady had such an UGLY attitude on her. I looked at her confused "i already said thank you what more are you looking for?" COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY INTERACTION. the ugly lady stomps off to the employees only space. meanwhile shaking that off and i focus on the mission. rooster. i beeline to the EXACT LOCATION that i had described to the ugly lady. and guess what i found? THE STRAWBERRY ROOSTER. at this point i didnt care that it was missing a few feathers i bought the rooster. The older women at the register was super polite. (Congrats on your upcoming retirement!) This venture wouldve been more epic without the hostility. This is a RARE Poultry In Motion " Fruit Cocktail " Rooster Figurine Sharon Neuhaus Farmhouse.
