The Peppermill: Steakhouse and Cocktail

I ordered steak and frites it was amazing melted in my mouth. The service was great. We also got a charcuterie board so good.

We ended up eating there on a day they were bought out for an event. When we made our reservation we weren't made aware we'd be kicked out at 7pm for the event. We actually weren't told until we attempted to order dessert. Service for drinks was very slow which impacted our dining time. We were there for a celebratory dinner with friends and so the abrupt ending was disappointing and embarrassing. We would have selected a different day or different location had we known. It was a bummer to spend so much and then be told we had to leave before we were done. The food was excellent.

Unassuming and tucked into a shopping plaza. We had an array of Tapas including the lamb lollipops, meatballs, octopus, and baked brie. We had a big group and I think between us all we tried just about everything on the menu. Nothing was so good that I would go out of my way to come back, but everything was cooked well and if your hungry the portion sizes were almost comical.

This place leaves little to be desired. I heard from friends it was a must try. Well, I tried it and will not go back. Sharing anything is $10. They do not substitute sides if you dont like what goes with your entree choice youre stuck with it. The steak and short ribs we ordered were fatty. The salad we ordered was all arugula, other ingredients were barely present and dressing tasted like pure vinegar. Mashed potatoes were bland while the curried cauliflower was way over spiced. The onion rings were cold. Presentation of food was crowded or almost appeared dumped on the plate. No water refills. The waitress was good but was training the two other people working the floor so she was only one taking orders. The atmosphere was flat and lacked energy or a good vibe. We spent a lot of money for very little return. Bathroom was marginal for a restaurant charging the prices they are charging. No value for our money in this dining experience unfortunately.
