For a few yrs my Dr prescribed medication for high cholesterol, and it worked - - but not enough to justify staying on it indefinitely. I decided to improve my levels through diet and exercise, so I went off the meds. For a few years that worked, but also not enough to justify it as the sole solution. Meanwhile my sugar levels were always just under the Pre-Diabetic risk threshold. I decided to seek professional guidance. I have been working with Samantha Zubek for the last yr to improve how I eat, and how much I eat - - I was far under the suggested daily caloric intake when we began. After a year, I eat more, have lost 22 lbs. I just got my bloodwork back and the Dr said everything looks great, my A1C is lower now than it has been in 10 yrs. As of today I officially weighed in 5 lbs less than where I was in high school - - 41 yrs ago. I give a large degree of the credit to Sam, she has been amazing!

After meeting with a few doctors and still needing support with GI symptoms, I decided to try a consultation with a dietician. Meeting with Samantha has been such a blessing to me! She is knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. She listens and is willing to change courses when a plan isn't working. She helps me set reasonable and manageable goals. She has helped me overcome some fears and is teaching me to understand the big picture of my health including sleep, stress, hydration, and exercise as well as food choices. I feel validated and hopeful that this information is helping me manage my symptoms!
