The Local Apartments

Terrible service and low quality of life at The Local. The game room is supposed to be closed at 10pm, and I live right below it. I keep getting woken up multiple times a night (after hours) by people making LOUD noise above me. Management keeps brushing this off, and its been months. Security have been dismissive on multiple occasions when I've approached them about it (one even let the group keep playing pool). Now I have to confront whoever is partying in the game room after hours? *update* March 2024 Unfortunately, saying "signature 5 star service" doesn't mean you offer it. In the year that I've lived at this apartment, there have been 3 managers, and when I contacted the managing company (Mark-Taylor) I found it's also a new manager. Every time I have to prove to them that this is an ongoing problem, and every time I get the same detached lack of accountability and "thank you for your patience". Generic. Their best solution to these recurring noise complaints is that I pay the lease termination fee at greater than $3,000 plus 30 days of rent, or transfer apartments and accept current market price (which is higher than my agreement). This isn't 5 star service, it's bludgeoning by policy and a lack of ownership; asking me to pay for their shortcomings.

Worth it only if you share the apartments, otherwise it's better to just own a house w that rent price. Also the Jacuzzi water gets gross every week, see it for yourself

Many defects Service issues Noises

Apartment came with so many defects. Toilet, shower and sinks are always clogged. Shoddy construction. Modem is not wired right (violation) resulting in no internet since I moved here. Constant noise from parties and smoke fumes. Bums waiting to get in the garage which resulted in almost getting into an altercation because I wouldnt open the garage for them. This is a highly overpriced college dorm. High lease cancellation fee ($4k) for a tiny 600sqft apartment. Waste of time and money and clearly run by greedy people. Scam.
