H&R Block

If you wanna feel like a crook come to this place. People will come in no appointment and then stare at you while the tax lady is asking questions. What happened to the info being filled out before coming in or on a pad?

If you have ever read any of my reviews you know I'm straightforward and have no dramatics in my writings. When most people engage a tax service to file their taxes it is because you have no idea of what to do! What can you deduct? Are there any kind of credits to take? I don't want to make mistakes that would give the new 840 IRS agents something to do. My second mistake! Last year I tried another Big Box Tax Service I brought in all my files then I was told everything must be sent in electronically. I went home and emailed all my stuff in. So, this year I uploaded all my information before going in. I told her I was coming in to talk about my taxes and I could leave my stuff so she could go through my information. Her response was Ill do this right now. After sitting in complete silence for the next ten to twenty minutes she barely talked to me then she said Im done, and our fee is $400.00. We owe the federal almost $1,200.00 and nothing to the state. I couldnt believe what I just heard. She told me we had to pay back $900.00 to the health market, I guess even though neither of us was working we made too much money. (This is Another reason you need to have a financial advisor guiding you and putting your money in the correct place.) Back to my tax problem, I then said, What about the $1,000.00 I paid ahead last year? She looked at me and said What $1,000.00? I said it was right there in last year's return. With that same s_____ look and said, how do I know that, someone else did your last year return. Its right there in the stuff I sent to you. She NEVER looked at last year's return nor did she even touch the prior year's return. How can someone do anything and guarantee it is correct? Im going to find someone else to go through the return so I can be sure it is correct. This will cost more. I really didnt want to go to H&R but being new to AZ I dont know where to go. Let my fingers do the walking.

Went above and beyond to make sure we got the largest refund possible. Definitely recommend the H & R Block in Surprise off Greenway.
