Shadow Ridge High School

I take our neighbors here for school and pick them up up often. The school is locked behind a tall fence during school hours. Always clean. The gals in the office are always kind to us when we come in to drop off items for the students. I like how I see the staff interacting with the students while out and about. A lot of teens in Surprise chose this school to attend even when outside the area to be assigned this school. Like any school there still will be bullies, drugs and other obstacles, but they police and security daily. They also offer after school tutoring when students are falling behind in school work or having a hard time catching on.

I think it's great that the Dysart Unified School District has their schools open for in person classes. They also offer online classes to all K-12 students. Thank you for staying open.

All staff at shadow ridge high school is INCREDIBLY unhelpful. The staff acts as if they are in high school as well and play the popular card, giving only the popular and varsity athlete students the chances that all students should be given. Counselors as well favor these students and give no aid to any other student. It is incredibly ridiculous.

I wish that I could give a negative rating. I have had 3 siblings attend this school in the last 4 years. Through these years my sister's have been miserable. One sister has been bullied and my brother has been completely forgotten about in this year's yearbook. This years yearbook doesn't mention him at all and doesn't have a single picture of him. This was his senior year and we were all excited to see him in the yearbook. There are pages devoted to completely useless garbage, while some students are left out completely. Students are constantly talking about sex and drugs. There is no sense of community or safety at this school and as far as I can tell, the staff really does not care about anything but their paycheck. Overall, if you are thinking about attending Shadow Ridge High school then you should definitely run the other way.
