Dan asked for "lengthy" advice over the telephone at no cost to him. He assured me that his tax situation was "simple" and then soon when into all of the complicating issues that occurred during the tax year in question. He would not stop talking and would not listen to the advice and counsel that I was offering him at no cost over the telephone. He was unwilling to come in to meet face to face to discuss the issues in more detail upon learning that his tax situation was more complex than he realized. I have practiced for more than 35 years in the White Mountains, and if I was the person that Dan describes in his review, I would not have a successful ongoing tax practice in this small community.
