RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN . . . We booked the Sunset room for a romantic anniversary. We were so disappointed. It looked a lot nicer from the online photos. It felt grungy, dirty and outdated. Firplace was not working (don't show the fire place with it burning when you disabled it) which was a total let down considering the weather and there was no one to call. TV was very small in a broken cabinet. No welcome basket or contact information. Not much of a view. Off the patio was trashy and overgrown with weeds. Dont think we will be returning to this villa nor recommend it to anyone. Super let down.

My wife and I stayed in the Purple Lizard room for 2 nights. At first glance, the room is perfectly adorned for a party of 2. The Bed was comfortable, the hottub and fireplace were spectacular and the shower was neat. After the first couple hours though, things started to get a little confusing. First off, there were about 20 light switches for a space that was maybe 500-600 square feet. Single lights had their own switch for reasons I just cannot fathom. The bathroom had a master switch that literally controlled all the switches in the bathroom. It took me a minute to figure that out. Some switches did nothing at all as far as I could tell. Next is the hottub. It worked great. The water jets did their thing admirably, and coupled with the fireplace being dual sided, you were left with a very romantic setting that would be hard to equal even in a posh Chicago hotel. The Bed and main room where very comfortable. And the addition of a CD player with a selection of Jazz and other mood music left no doubt this room was designed for romantic happenings. The porch was also a masterstroke. It allowed for comfortable lounging with a nice view of the mountains and night sky. I found that the room was a little dated. The leaky hottub, the shower that was cold to use due to the lack of steam being generated, or trying to figure out what switch turned on what light. The room could use a little updating. In the end though, NONE of my complaints mattered at all. The room was perfect for a romantic 2 night stay. I wouldn't change a thing. I would HIGHLY recommend this room to anyone I know. I applaud the owners and grounds keepers for the emaculate grounds and beautiful decor. (there are 4 rooms at this location and I think they are all a little differnt. This was the 'Purple Lizard' room.)

Stayed here twice now. Pretty sure we were the only guests on the entire property, or at least it felt that way, and I enjoyed that. Room was clean..perfect place for a short 1-2 day stay. Painted Desert room was great.

Horrible experience! Horrible management! There was blood on the top blanket on the bed. We also found food crusted on a throw blanket that was draped over the couch. Neither were washed. We opened the closet and found there was spare blanket that had been washed which we used for our stay. We texted the number for the on call person the following day describing situation and they asked if we wanted more blankets. We told them we had found one in the closet. Upon checking out we reached out to management who did not respond to me for at least 2 months. I had left multiple emails and voicemails. My answer when they finally returned my calls was that they were on maternity leave? Not sure why this was stated/why they didnt have additional coverage. I requested partial refund for the disgusting. They said that since we didnt accept the new sheets offered to us then it clearly wasnt a big deal. I was shocked and appalled. We go to Sedona frequently will not be coming back here. DONT PICK A PLACE WITH SUCH POOR MANAGEMENT THAT THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU PARTIAL REFUND WHEN PRIOR GUESTS BODY FLUIDS ARE ON BEDDING. Its pathetic.
