STK Steakhouse

A group of us went to STK for lunch. The place was empty; no other guests dined in our entire duration. It took well over an hour to receive our food after we ordered. Some of us that ordered the lunch portion didn't even get the dessert that came with the meal due to having to get back to work. Service was very slow. I wouldn't recommend this location and based upon the other reviews it doesn't appear the restaurant is addressing this known issue.

Overall, our experience at STK was pleasant. The oysters were a highlight, truly amazing. While the steak was good, it fell short of being exceptional, slightly tough considering the price point. Dessert certainly ended the meal on a high note. Opting to sit outside was a wise choice, as the inside was too crowded for comfort. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the level of a five-star dining experience, perhaps a solid three or four-star rating at most. Bonus points for the cool washroom ambiance. My husband and I did not make reservations this past Saturday and couldn't get in where we originally intended so we walked around Old Town looking to see where we could find a place at the bar and this is where we ended up. We were NOT disappointed. If you love the offerings of a fancy steakhouse, but the quiet piano music ambiance is not for you, you will love this place. The combination of fine dining, and a club-like atmosphere is so unique and really kept the spirit of our evening alive. Both the fish that I ordered and steak my husband ordered were fantastic. The brussel sprouts we shared had to be the winner of the evening. *chefs kiss* Also, the reason we were in Scottsdale to begin with was for our anniversary and I had mentioned this to our bartender. Midway through the meal we ended up with a sparkler and shots and another sparkler in our dessert which was such a thoughtful and fun surprise. We will definitely be keeping this place in our rotation for special occasions and on a general note, the server asked everyone that ordered if they had an dietary restrictions as to be able to accommodate anyones special needs.
