ISA offers an amazing educational experience for its students.  Being the only  bilingual accredited school in the state of AZ, the school has native speaking teachers from their said countries..this is an amazing way for students to learn French of Spanish.  ISA is a boutique hotel with an incredible personalized experience for students and their parents!

We love the diverse, multicultural learning environment at ISA.  In first grade, my son can speak fluently in 2 languages, write cursive and read in both English and Spanish.  To see his brain at work like this is truly amazing!  He has had teachers from all over the world and is in class with other culturally diverse children. The learning environment is warm, class sizes are small, and the school is very welcoming.  We love our ISA community!

I literally do not have one complaint about this school! Our son is 2 years old and loves it. They have figured out the balance of a structured education environment and realistic expectations for the littles so they still have fun. One of our favorite things is how involved every family is. There are so many school/family events to go to!

Amateur hour. We came to ISA from another immersion school expecting the same wonderful experience, but all we found was the opposite. Every day my children complained about going to school. The teachers and curriculum were joyless to the degree that even my preschooler never wanted to go - shouldn't Pre-K be fun? The teachers act inconvenienced and overburdened by the mere 10 students they have per classroom. And despite the low student-to-teacher ratio, kids fall behind because the school does not offer resources to support them, nor do they seem to care. Additionally, because the class size is so small, the children are with the same students each year, meaning that if there's a bullying issue then there's no escaping the toxic situation the next year, especially when teachers don't address the issue with any urgency. Homework for early elementary students is way too much for their age/grade-level, to the point that you're left wondering what is happening all day in the classroom. All these problems are symptomatic of the lack of leadership at the school. With the high turnover of headmasters, what could be a great school is just a mess of finger-pointing and dodging accountability. If you call out the school on any issue, don't expect a phone call or proactive plan of action; the topic either goes unresolved, gets passed from person to person (the runaround), or the blame gets placed on the student/parents. With so many wonderful, tuition-free schools in the area, it's much more cost-effective to hire a language tutor on the side than deal with the frustrations at ISA.

We moved from Florida and it was important for our children to be bilingual. After looking around Phoenix the only school that stood out was the international school of Arizona. Our children have been here here for three years, the other families are fabulous and the school has certainly exceeded our expectations. The teachers are amazing, educated and certainly highly regarded, we are truly excited to have found ISA.
