My first experience at this salon was great. My second… not so much. My review reflects the phone receptionist, not the nail technician. I booked my appointment a month ahead of time for my wedding, with one of my bridesmaids. Less than 48 hours before my appointment, I was told that one of their nail technicians called in sick and I would have to cancel my appointment. I was in a panic — I was getting married in less than 2 days and thought I had a place to get my nails done. I explained it was for my wedding and I had planned to go with my bridesmaid - their response was that perhaps I could find another nail place in scottsdale that could accommodate us. With such short notice, I ended up taking my bridesmaid’s appointment and went alone. It was a very disappointing experience and Prose did not do anything to rectify the situation. Needless to say, I won’t be a returning customer. Service: Manicures

They canceled an important group event last minute. The excuses for canceling varied from employee to employee and I never heard the same excise twice. No manager was available until days after our event so that was that: Our once-in-a-decade group event didn’t get to happen and they made zero attempts to make it eight. I had the membership which I was paying for every month. After they ruined this event I wanted a refund from what I had paid into the account - my available balance. They refused and only gave me a partial credit. They just recommended that I come in and use the services. My recommendation: Don’t trust them for important events, don’t buy the membership. There are a million better options for manicures and pedicures in Scottsdale. This place doesn’t give a hoot about their clients. Services: Pedicures, Manicures

I was really excited to try this place out with my friend who is a member and recommended it. The salon was very clean and nice looking but it did not match the service that I was provided. They were running a little behind so I was standing there while the client before me was finishing up. The client before me seemed unhappy with one of her toes and was asking what time the salon was open until incase she wanted to come back and have it corrected. The tech assured her that once the polish fully dried she would be happy with the results. I thought that it was odd that the tech just didn't correct the toe in the moment instead of having the client leave potentially unsatisfied. I have also never seen wet nail polish that looks messed up turn completely fine once dry. If anything once it dries you usually see even more issues. Once it was my turn the tech started to remove the polish that I came in with which was a dark navy blue. I do my own nails and use a lot of dark blues, purples, and blacks, so I know that they can be difficult to remove but that is part of the job. The tech did not do a meticulous job at removing it especially on one of my big toes. Since I was getting a gel polish she went ahead and started the painting process prior to soaking my feet. She did not clean anything from under my toes and you could clearly see that there was dark debris under the nail. The color that I picked was a bright coral which was not forgiving with the left behind navy blue polish. I had to ask her to redo my right big toe because the combination of the left behind dark polish and the lumpy application was unacceptable. Overall I just feel that a place that is charging $60 for a gel pedicure should do a more meticulous job. I have gotten pedicures at many salons for half the price that look much better and did a way more through job of cleaning the nail and the surrounding skin. I still tipped 20%, but it was definitely not worth it. Service: Pedicures

The best nail salon I have been. I became a member couple of months ago because this place is very professional. Very clean. Great atmosphere. Products used are natural. I love that they do not use electric nail files that ruins the nails. They practice covid protocol. Washing hands when you come in to having masks on and having plastic clear deviders between staff to clients. From the receptionist, Juliette who is very professional, courteous and welcoming has me checked in and out, never had to wait, to my nail artist Gaby who goes beyond as a nail tech. She’s gives me perfect opinions as to what needs to be done and gel polish colors. Clearly it shows that the manager knows how to run this business well! I just love being pampered here every time I come. Thank you Prose staff!!❤️ Services: Pedicures, Manicures
