Atlas Bistro

This bistro place labels itself "fine dining" but dropped the ball on all courses but 2 (of 6). Oysters and Octopus! I swapped out my octopus for vegetarian as Octopi are too smart to eat and neat looking. But was looking forward to the Foise Gras duck mousse which I normally LOVE but this Foise Gras was soooo greasy and oily I couldn't choke it down! Oil squirted out the sides of what would normally be a delicacy! How crude! Making everything too rich and greasy. $500 for a 3 hour meal only works when the food is fresh and good. This chef made things so oily, greasy and rich the next day my belly hurt. To be fair though, I did enjoy the noodle dish and the dessert and one of the sauces. Hey maybe the normal chef was away or something who knows but we did not have a good experience here. Grease belly ache and lots of hub Bub about nothin.

The wine corkage price was reasonable. The food felt a little salty overall, but I enjoyed it. The filet mignon was cooked correctly. I was confused because the server kept leaving the cutlery in the wrong place while serving. It was nice that they changed the cutlery for each meal. Kid-friendliness: Not an environment for children
