SMIL has always been my go-to place for various tests. The staff is friendly and technically proficient in administering whatever tests were ordered. They are simply the best. I definitely recommend them.

Are you smile for all of my testing as it's close to my location and most of my doctors seem to like. I went for a test schedule for 10:00. I arrived at 9:45 I waited till 10:45 filled out the paperwork. When I went back to the front desk to say I've been here for an hour they told me that they didn't know why but I wasn't checked in. How do I trust trust test results from a place that can't schedule and maintain an appointment calendar. No one ever gave me any answers.

I have gone to SmIL for many years for mammograms and have never been disappointed. Since a year and a half ago. I have been going in every six months to monitor an area from my mammogram This past December I was told the area had grown and was now of some concern. Dr Maki was the Dr that caught the change. He ended up doing a biopsy on me that was only supposed to be 30 minutes long but because of my intolerance to Lidocaine (the numbing agent) it took 90 minutes. Before we realized the Lidocaine wasnt numbing me, it was painful and as soon as he realized the problem. he used other medication. But during the entire procedure he was caring and genuinely concerned for my comfort. Even though I realized I had obviously put him behind schedule. I never felt rushed or that I would have to be rescheduled as it was taking so long. He was kind, considerate with the type of caring for a patient that is usually absent in todays medical world. He was on top of my results knowing I would be worried and he let me know quickly. He offered his help with any questions I might have along this new journey of mine. I am a nurse and have known many doctors throughout my 28 years of nursing Career. much of it taking care of mastectomy patients.. It is very different and very sobering to now be the patient getting the news of having cancer. Doctors like Dr Maki are rare, almost absent from the medical profession , and he made this womans start of her journey into this diagnosis feel like she had someone in her corner, who was extremely competent, caring and that I wasnt alone. Not to be overlooked, his staff that was there for the biopsy were top notch and amazing also. He has an awesome team
