One Medical: Landon Hoecker, MD

This "MD" is absolutely horrible. Horrible bedside manner, snarky, and incompetent. He went down a rabbit hole not even remotely related to my symptoms, and when that didn't pan out just completely abandoned care. Thus, I am forced to make an appointment with another doctor to actually address my symptoms and render treatment. Future patients beware.

Dr. Hoecker is a consummate pro. He not only exhibits a high level of medical acumen, but you can tell that he has a vested interest in your long term health. Im a big fan, and he is a big reason why Im a One Medical client to this day.

I have worked at Yelp and I have NEVER written a review for someone. So this should say something to you. I met with Dr. Hoecker due to COVID symptoms (which came back positive) He helped me and provided me with a note for my employer. I needed a revision on this note. I tried to Contact the Doctor (with no luck), so I scheduled another appointment with him at the end of the day, the same day. I got a call from his staff saying that I cant schedule an appointment WITH HIM in the same day. I told them that I needed this note revised for excused time off for work, And my employer needed it TODAY. With not hearing back from Dr. Hoecker or his staff for over 6 Hours, I scheduled an appointment with a NP who was lovely and helped me out. Not thinking that this would be a problem. After nearly 10 hours go by I receive a call back from Doctor Hoecker himself, YELLING at me for scheduling an appointment with this NP. He told me that this was not allowed (how the hell am I supposed to know that?) and that he would take this up with his billing team. His tone was so awful and told me to have a good night in the most condescending way. I understand Covid has doctors working over 100 hours a week. I have many friends who are doctors, so I get it. But Dr. Hoecker, I pay YOUR bills, you do not pay mine. Learn some god damn mannerism, I am sick and have a job that I need to keep so that I am able to have a roof over my head, so I am NOT sorry if I cannot wait all day for you to get back to me. I am truly disgusted and off put by this doctor. Here is your only rating, and it gets 1 star for your bad mannerism and bad attitude. Would not recommend. Will never see again. Beware.
