Holiday Inn Express & Suites Scottsdale - Old Town, an IHG Hotel

Regular. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. There was no soap in the room. The water in the pool was cold and as it is heated. Breakfast very bad and very limited. Very good location.

Poor service at check out i was charged twice for stay on different credit cards, luckily i noticed, no accountability, good luck check your invoices Rooms: Not good

Good location, appreciated the free parking. The breakfast area is so tiny it gets overcrowded and cramped so fast. There should be more than one pancake machine & it would be nice to have more space so people arent on top of each other waiting for pancakes. Theres not a lot of seating either. Staff can be very slow to refill breakfast items Kids run rampant between the pool & hot tub family friendly I guess but otherwise disruptive & Im pretty sure its unsafe to have an 8year old in a hot tub but thats the parents choice I guess. Staff was nothing special, didnt make me feel overly welcomed & werent very friendly but did their job so The workout room has a water bottle refill station but I wish that wasnt the only one

Mostly good staff, as long as you're not dealing with a manager. Rooms were decent in terms of size and the beds, but...noise from others is a major problem. If you're not on the top floor (or even if you are) if there's a group of kids/otherwise noisy group staying in adjacent rooms , or worse- in the room above yours, you're likely to have major noise complaints from them- noise complaints that mgmt won't even bother to deal with. Most of the staff here are ok, but the actual managers are HORRIBLE. Not just charging you for parking fees (even when you don't have a car with you)....they'll laugh in your face if you ask them to deal with a legitimate issue. The night staff are FAR more understanding and helpful than those who are supposed to run this place during the day- that enough should be reason to avoid this place. If you have to stay at an IHG property in Scottsdale, stick to the location on Gold Dust Ave or even Scottsdale North/Airpark instead- this place isn't worth the hassle.
