Mom has lived at their wonderful cozy home for several years. The level of care is absolutely amazing. I could not have found a better solution for moms last years of life. So grateful for the attention your staff provided. Great food, cute room. Nati is a superstar with a lot of heart. Thanks Karina and Peter for loving and caring for mom!!

We cannot possibly say enough good things about Peter Colten and his wonderful staff! My father was one of the longest residing residents at Casa Buenavante (almost 5 years) and they lovingly cared for him throughout his journey with dementia. My mother in law also stayed there for short time in her final fight with cancer and they were instrumental in helping her feel comfortable. It always felt so good to visit  and there was so much activity going on with the girls cooking, various musicians coming in to entertain, craft projects and a wonderful activity coordinator who was so good at engaging the residents and encouraging them to participate. It really felt like a warm homey environment and many of the girls have been there throughout my dads entire stay. The holiday parties felt like one big happy group of people that really like what they are doing and that meant the world to us. They were also great about calling me if he was having a bad day or if anything was going on and I always felt very informed in regards to his health. You could feel that this is more than a job with these gals, I really felt they loved my dad and did a great job caring for him. I would not hesitate to have them care for any loved one in our family.

If you are looking for a real HOME for your aging parent or grandparent or friend, you MUST choose one of the Colten's homes. My stepdad was as Casa Buenavante for two and a half years. I visited often, and it was literally like going over to his house. The staff is like family, and the care they show everyone staying there is gentle and loving! They have fun, eat lovely meals together around a dining room table, and are always shown respect. They may get better and go home, or like my dad, they may die there...with dignity and love. I promise you, there are many of these care homes around, and they all talk a good game, but you will NOT find a more loving place than here. And working with Peter is like working with your favorite brother. He is a doll! His own mother is in one of the homes, that says a lot! I LOVE the Coltens!

I heartily recommend Casa Buenavante as a warm and loving environment for your loved one(s). Both my father and mother have been residents here, starting with my father 4 years ago then joined by my mother 2 years ago. Sure, it was a hard decision to move them out of their home and into a "facility", but in our case, they each needed specialized, full time care that we couldn't provide. We quickly realized that this isn't a "facility" but a home, where they were welcomed and became one of the family of residents. And we also realized that the care givers must be part angel.......to care as they do for the residents. Just the Christmas before last, I asked Fatima (supervising care giver), if she had Christmas off and if she was going to be with family; she said "I'll be here (Casa Buenavante).....this is my family". Can you ask for any better devotion than that?
