image This is the best OB I have EVER been too! If you have a lot of medical issues or previous high risk pregnancies, you will be in great hands here. All of my issues are always addressed, I feel respected and heard, and they never miss a beat. They even signed me up to receive a free BP cuff because of my elevated blood pressures. Cant recommend this place more. I live in the west valley and its well worth the drive. Thank you guys soooo much! After experiencing horrible OB doctors in the past, this place is a refreshing reminder that not all OB doctors are the same.

image I have not had the experience that most of the other people here have had. I have been to multiple locations and they've all been very nice and staff has all been very nice and professional. The only thing I will say is that communication is sometimes a challenge. Like they say they're going to call to schedule surgery, PT or injections but they never do. You have to call them and usually leave more than one message.
I was sent to Dr. Mahnert by the VA hospital after previously being at St. Joes and getting nowhere with them after a year and a half. The pelvic pain and surgery department at dignity St. Joe's is a joke and after a year and a half even my doctor, Dr. Castellanos, bailed out and left them.
Since I've been at Banner, Dr. Mahnert has always been very straightforward, informative and supportive. This is exactly what I want in a GYN+ I recommend this place if you're looking for pelvic pain specialist.
*I will update this post after my surgery this summer.

image Been attempting to get a return call from them for 3+ weeks to schedule surgery to no avail. They were quick for an initial visit and tell me they needed to get me into scheduling for surgery. Only after I called to schedule did they tell me I needed PCP clearance and no matter how many times I call and leave messages, I NEVER get a call back with information on what they even need - and they refuse to schedule anything until I get that clearance. I get that maybe one person and one surgery isn't that big of a deal to them, but it's definitely a big deal to me. Never have I felt so tossed aside by a heath care provider.
In the process of pulling my records to move to Mayo Clinic. This place is a joke. They are the last people I would trust for a major surgery at this point.

image First, I just want to start with a HUGE thank you to Dr. Jamal Mourad and his fellows especially Dr. Nortan.
I started my endometriosis journey in December of 2022 and today April 4, 2023 I am one week postop from my endo laparoscopy.
I have suffered from awful menstrual cycles since I was 13 and I knew it wasn't normal as I got older. I first seen Dr. Nortan and he made me feel very comfortable, he understood what I was feeling and talking about he was the one who said it sounds like you have Endo and he informed me of what the long process is going to look like. Then Dr. Mourad came in and told me lets go through with the procedure now that you are young and can heal quickly. Never once did they make me feel like I my pain didn't matter or "the pain comes with having a period / unbearable cramps are normal."
Endo isn't something you can see or detect without a laparoscopy, so I went through with the surgery. And I had stage 2 endometriosis. Dr. Mourad with the help of his team removed it all!
I am definitely not a person to leave reviews but Dr. Mourad, Dr. Nortan and the rest of the fellows deserve it!
Thank you again, I am very grateful I found this Obgyn!
