Love it here. Everyone is so kind. We're transitioning our pets to this office. They have seen two of our three dogs so far and we're very happy!

My fiance brought our dog in because she has been unable to keep her weight up no matter what we feed her. We took her in and results came back that she renal failure. My fiance recieved an email stating they wanted to start fluid the next day but the email provided very little information and I felt that that information and discussing of treatment shouldve been a phone call given the severity. We asked for the results because when asked what stage she was in no clear answer was given. Based on our own research and the test results it appears our dog is in stage 3 but very close to stage 4. We chose that at this time since they only recommended fluids and shes an older dog and the condition shes in we wanted to keep her as comfortable as possible and just give her lots of love for the remainder of the time we had with her. We had already paid for a urinalysis but while at the vet visit they were not able to retrieve it so we gathered the sample and took it in and it came back that she had a UTI. We opted to get the medication and supplements recommended. When my fiance went to pick it up the employee continued to shame her for us deciding not to go through with treatment . Apparently on the file a longer and more detailed email was sent to us however we Never recieved it. When my fiance voiced that we didnt believe that at this stage it would be manageable or reversible the employee continued to say that dogs with renal failure can live full lives . My fiance continued the conversation asking him to clarify the stage she was in and the response was I dont know. With the information from the vet office so unclear we stuck with our decision given we do not have the ability to pay for the treatment without clear answers at this age. In the response to that the employee decided to point out my finances bracelet for being nice (which was a gift). I feel like the office completely let our dog down in terms of proper communication with us to what the game plan would be and exectations of what her life would continue to look like. I feel like pointing out my finances bracelet was a very inappropriate given the circumstance. We will be continuing forward with a different vet to try and get proper answers for her condition and a office that will not shame my fiance into leaving in tears given that we are already saddened with the situation.

Attempting to schedule an appointment at Canyon Animal Hospital was an absolute nightmare. I called multiple times, only to be met with endless hold times and rude staff. The receptionist seemed completely disorganized and incapable of managing even the simplest task of booking an appointment. When I finally did manage to get through, I was given conflicting information about availability and told I would be placed in a queue. Its clear that customer service is not a priority at Canyon Animal Hospital. They have a blatant disregard for the time and concerns of their clients, making the simple task of scheduling an appointment an unnecessarily stressful ordeal. I would strongly advise pet owners to seek veterinary care elsewhere, as the incompetence and lack of professionalism displayed by the staff at Canyon Animal Hospital is simply unacceptable.

Been going to Canyon for many years, since Dr Foster days. 1st visit with Dr Leslie and his team. They fit me in the same day I called. I just needed vaccinations for my dog's license plate renewal. Everyone was outstanding, Dr Leslie spent quite a long time getting to know us (for a busy vet!) Thanks to all there Highest recommendation!
