        New Update 2023 - we had a large amount of water come in above our master bedroom that traveled down our chimney. It cause significant water damage to our 2nd floor master bedroom and 1st floor living room. We determined that Mikku & Sons Roofing did not replace the galvanized flashing around the chimney on the roof. They replaced a couple sheets of plywood around the chimney but not the flashing even though it was supposed to be in accordance with their contract. When they replaced the plywood decking they had to bend the flashing back, but didnt not install new flashing. This cause the flashing to crack (about an 1 in length). They installed sealant over it, but after 5 years its degraded and during a large storm in the spring a very large amount of water came in. Mikku did not stand behind their work or would not fix the problem they created. $18k in damages later, this is a company that you DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH! Mikku and Sons did our roof in 2018 and it leaked within 6 months causing water damage to our ceiling drywall. We let them know, and they sent out on of their personnel who said he couldnt see a leak or any issues, and they would not cover costs for the damage inside. We called again and asked them to send someone else. He found the issue and fixed it by caulking a couple different locations. He also said their warranty and guarantee does not cover any interior damage. What good is a warranty if their poor workmanship causes water damage inside your house? Issue is still not resolved.
