My husband and I hired Nicole to be our birth doula as well as our birth photographer and we couldn't be happier with our choice! She's knowledgeable, respectful and personable and I felt completely comfortable and at ease with her during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. My husband was sceptical about the expense and if we really needed someone to support us through the labor and delivery process (he's a nurse himself and felt prepared to do it without anyone's help), but once I had delivered and we were in recovery he said he was SO glad we hired her! We look forward to working with her during all my future pregnancies and births!

I stopped looking for a birth photographer once I found Nicoles portfolio on her website. As a fine art photographer and educator, I would not hire just anyone with a camera. Nicole is a certified Doula as well and although we did not hire her as a doula she used her knowledge and experience to navigate our birth space. She was an added voice of support and knew just where to be to capture exactly what she knew I wanted. She truly cares about the ceremony of birth and the well being of each of her clients. I highly recommend her!

Nicole is a true healer and artist. She was my Doula and photographer for my first birth which I did a home birth. She was literally the best pain management system I could ever imagine. It was like having an angel sitting behind me. Somehow she managed to hold my hand, manage my pain, and care for me while capturing the most intimate and beautiful photos that perfectly captured my birth story. The mood she sets into the photos are powerful and intense. She captured the awe of me transitioning from maiden to mother in a way I couldnt imagine before. My next birth I know that I have a wonderful aide and artist right next to me.

Our journey with Nicole started with a Google search. I wanted to explore all the different options for our birth experience and wanted to make the absolute most of it. I found myself researching birth photography (purely out of curiosity, never expecting to actually have it done). Once I found Nicole's website, a spell came over me. Before I knew it, I had spent a hours looking through every gallery, reading every blog post and exploring Nicole's work on her social media. These births and these women were captured so beautifully and I wanted that for us! I emailed her that night with questions about her photography and pricing. She responded quickly and we set a date to meet up for a very relaxed consultation at a nearby coffee shop - which was perfect because my husband was VERY skeptical and didn't think it was something we could afford. Once we met, it became very clear that Nicole was someone we wanted on our team; not only as our birth photographer, but also as our doula. Prior to our consultation, my husband and I knew minimally what a doula was and we were not even considering it as an option for our birth plan. After speaking with Nicole and hearing her stories, her passion and her philosophy around birth and being a doula, we knew that having her as our doula was a need and NOT a luxury. Hiring Nicole for our birth was - hands down - the single most important decision we made during my pregnancy. The middle to end of my pregnancy was hard, emotionally and physically. We also found ourselves in the midst of a pandemic and in quarantine a month before my due date, which posed new and unprecedented challenges and anxieties for us to work through. Looking back, I think that the stress and anxiety is what caused all the false alarms we had before the real deal - but, Nicole was patient, kind, and encouraging no matter how agitated and stressed I got! Labor for us was long and very very hard. Nicole met with us at our birth center at 3am and was with us for the 13+ hours that I was in labor. In that 13 hours, Nicole helped me through mental and emotional blocks as well as physical difficulties that I had not anticipated and that were slowing my progress. Our journey to bring our son into this world would not be what it was without Nicole. She will always hold a VERY special place in our hearts. If there is a next time around, I would do so many things differently - but not when it comes to Nicole. If and when we find out we are having another baby, she will be the first person I call.

Nicole is AMAZING!!! I cannot thank her Enough for my entire birth experience. Everybody should have a Nicole at their birth. She recommended a fantastic midwife that I switched to at 37 weeks without her and Nicole combined my VBAC would not have been possible. Nicole gave me comfort when I otherwise would have been scared, helped me labor at home instead of rushing to the hospital so I was able to spend a full day longer at home than I otherwise would have. She helped with pain management at the hospital that was vital for me to prolong my epidural. I am so happy I was recommended to Nicole and I hope others will be able to have an amazing birth experience like me! I also had her do photography and the photos from my labor are beautiful! She is so talented, I cannot speak enough praises about the entire experience.
