Core Recovery

I called this facility to get help for my teenage daughter. The staff were wonderful, knowledgeable and gave me hope that she could get the help she needs finally. The staff seem so kind and understanding we are looking forward to getting started next week.

I was in the partial hospitalization program at Core for four weeks before I decided that it inhibited my growth more than it supported it. While I hold respect and admiration for the staff- namely my individual therapist and the therapist leading the Creative Expression group- I found that there was an extremely notable lack of communication within the establishment. The same staff that noted that I held many traits of someone with ASD and that I had been through serious repetitive trauma condemned my struggle to allow myself vulnerability, stating that it made me unapproachable. I can only hope that perhaps among the termination of the substance abuse counselor who was engaging in inappropriate conduct with his patients and the implementation of better communication this recovery center may live up to it's expectations. My life has improved tremendously since attending the partial hospitalization program. I am so grateful for the support team I interacted with. I was also pleasantly surprised that the cost was within my budget. Previously when Ive sought treatment I would receive a bill if at least $3,000. That did not happen with Core. The art therapy awakened my creative spirit that I thought was was lost forever. The art has become something that I continue to practice and it is good for my soul. My treatment helped me realize that my work environment was toxic. I found the confidence and strength I needed to pursue a career that aligns with my values. I will be forever grateful.
