GB Family Care

Today I called GB fam care 6x Noone answered the phone 3x after the phone rang for 2 mins someone picked up and hanged up the phone so rude, very unprofessional. I went to GB to get labs and they told me I needed to fast, I said I wish I would've known you ladies never answer the phone and there's 4 of you. I said I will come back tomorrow, bad customer service. The ladies don't seem to care about patients. I'm really considering finding another primary care Dr. It's so frustrating when Noone answers the phone and they have I don't give a darn attitude 😒

In the end I chose to go to a doctor in Mexico and in the first consultation they knew how to tell me what was happening and give me treatment. Múltiples citas y muchos estudios y solo me decían "No pasa nada", cuando incluso yo vi los estudios y había irregularidades. Al final opte por irme a un médico en México y en la 1er consulta supieron decirme que pasa y darme tratamiento.

I have read a lot of complaints about GB. I have never really had any issues with them other than answering the phones. But I would like to clear the air up about that. There have been several times I went in there, and they are usually always busy. They have 2 or 3 girls working the front desk and the times I have seen them not answer the phones is because they are truly all very busy. There is 1 checking in patients, 1 checking patients out, and the 3rd one answer questions or running to the back to check on something for a patient or answering calls. I know one time I was in there and there was only 2 girls up front. 1 was checking in patients and one checking me out. The poor girls were trying to answer the calls as fast as they could, put them on hold while trying to attend to the patients in front of them. I know it took her almost 15 minutes to get me checked out with all of the incoming phone calls. There were 6 on hold and more calls still coming through. So it is not always their fault that you can't get through to speak with someone. The only thing I suggest is hiring someone just for answering the phones. Other than that they don't charge a cancellation if you need to reschedule, they do give you a chance to reschedule. I have never had to wait over an hour to be seen after they moved to their 91st ave location. Before that yes I did. The doctors, PAs, and NPs are excellent. The nurses are great as well. They listen to my concerns and got me the treatments needed. Just today they were able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment. They are great, just need an extra person for handling incoming calls. That's why I give them 4 out of 5 stars.
