It may be a decent facility but just to note, this is not a DES anymore, there is no DES here. They do birth certificates here.

Arizona Department of Economic Security Invasive Treatment: I just thought that today I would raise awareness on an issue that is still occurring in the apartment complex I live in. Where I live we have many people living with SMI. Even though I have bipolar disorder I still dont meet the SMI criteria but thats ok with me but I also have severe hearing loss among other types of health issues. I feel that the Arizona Department of Economic Security is targeting many in my apartment complex where I live and this is why. They also ask questions that I feel are not only inappropriate but are also very invasive as well and that is what do you do spend your money on? That is something you only ask a little kid and not an adult. Yet since they are providing a service they think oh since these people where I live most being SMI, deaf or hearing impaired we need to treat them as kids. We are over worked and understaffed and therefore if we treat them like kids we can get them to obey. In August of 2017 I get this package from The state of California Department of Social services saying that my CDR was selected for their review due to back log in Arizona and a bunch of complex paperwork. If I did not understand some questions the paperwork was sent back with a threatening that I better get the question right , sent back to them in ten days or I could lose my benefits but that is what the workers do. For someone who is very smart they have much easier time with filling out such paperwork. With there being a shortage of workers they figure if they bully us a little we back down. In November of 2017 I had my first serious fall in which I did let former PCP know about as well as at my special physical exam. On February 24th of this year I had my second serious fall and had a sharp shocking pain followed by what seemed like paralysis from my T4 down. When I told former PT about the fall she laughed at me. You better believe if it we're someone smart PT would have been supplying a wheelchair to that person. That morning I left with no wheelchair. I could have had another serious fall. On March 10 I get this letter that according to the state of Arizona I am physically healthy enough to return to SGA even though I am waking up many mornings paralyzed from the chest down. In June of this year and not getting anywhere with state and former PCP I became so depressed from my spinal cord issues that I ended up in hospital for several days because I wanted to give up. In August of this year I got new PCP. as a result of my spinal cord issues and physical health I have to have home health care. This is serious stuff. Without my medicare and medicaid I could not get the care I needed which could have serious results. As of this month I get a letter with paperwork for yet another CDR review for Reconsideration. Now I dont have an issue with paperwork but what I have an issue with is the fact that the Arizona Department of Economic Security Determination department is during reviews rather it is first time applicants or CDR reviews is imposing too many invasive questions on their paperwork and are therefore targeting such population where I live. This is very inhumane and inappropriate.
