If you want your project to go over budget and over time this is your company. Terrible construction company. Their crew is very lazy, I have caught them sleeping on the job. They do 20 minutes of work then nothing for the next few hours. They start right at 6 AM just to wake you up too. Service: Home renovations

Our HOA has a $12,000,000 dollar project with porter. Porter has been unable for the past two years and counting to prevent water intrusion from our roof directly into our home. Our clothes smell of musty. Porters response was to have me stand on a folding chair and take photos. Truth be told an estimator needs to get the replacement done. Then stop the intrusion and mold also replace our closet. Its hanging by a thread. Why were we not told there would be ongoing water damages, we would not have installed new flooring throughout. The person on staff for porter swears he has inspected our unit after each rain. Well the very first rain we experienced dec 23 2full gallons came into our home. So no. I cant recommend this outfit based on my observations.

Our condos UNFORTUNATELY contracted this company to complete balcony restorations. In addition to severely under quoting us with financials AND time, they take ZERO responsibility in securing their workplace. They have slowly, and surely stretched their legs out, taking up more room than originally described. Each time, they have given us the excuse that this was unforeseen. Because they do not have the correct equipment to appropriately complete the job, they have invaded on our freedom by leaving their equipment on our property, and expect US to be responsible for what happens. This job was too big for them, they should have never let us believe that they were able to do this. The original proposal stated that we would be without full use of our property for only weeks. Weeks turned into months; SEVEN to be specific. But I was one of the lucky ones. Some have gone without access to their balconies for OVER A YEAR. NOW, apparently a transient accessed one of their scaffolding, and instead of them being responsible and securing their own equipment, they SEALED our back doors, leaving a sliver of sunlight in many instances tacking on our prison sentence for who knows how long. Funny thing is, they locked us in, and those on the outside have access to the locks. When I asked if the reason they locked us in is because of ONE person that they were unable to control, Paul Lo Pinto ie; PJ said, Yes, we sealed 51 units because of one man. Who does this? I pay an excessive amount of HOA money only to be stripped of my amenities because this construction company got in over their head. We are prisoners, and management finds it amusing. How much more will you strip from us? Havent you taken enough? Lastly, there is NO WHERE in the contract that gives permission for these people to board us inside, take our parking, block private streets off and threaten tow people who try and park on the street, wreck rooftops, cause deep seeded cracks in residents ceilings, take our lounge, proudly begin construction at 5:30 am, 5 days a week for over TWO YEARS, etc. If they only would purchase the equipment necessary to complete the job on time, and hold themselves accountable for their equipment, we wouldnt be TRAPPED in our homes. Dont hire these guys! It is a HUGE mistake! They do not think about the residents, they only think about what will save them money, so they can put more in their pockets. See picture attached. This is what we have been dealing with for well over a year, even if they arent working on your specific property... because its easier. Keep your money, Porter. Us homeowners regret the day you stepped on our property.

Business Response on Google Oct 8th, 2021
Petra, we are sorry to learn about your displeasure and any inconveniences you may be experiencing due to the nature of servicing this project. This project is a great undertaking, and our main responsibility has been to ensure safety for residents, guests, and the workers. Working in a residential hi-rise requires a great amount of detail and planning. If and when issues arise, we address them as a team with all stakeholders and decision makers (property management and the construction management team.)We understand that residents have sacrificed personal space and other inconveniences during this time. These sacrifices were part of an agreed plan with property management that allows us to properly service the repairs. It is imperative that the equipment and storage we use remain on site otherwise the project costs and time to complete would be extended even further. Our company has been in business since 1982 and a big part of our success is attributed to our abilities to solve problems, perform competently and most important, because of customer satisfaction. We are a specialty contractor that performs specialty work. The Landmark Tower Balcony Repair project has a very sophisticated scope that cannot be completed in weeks. The project schedule was identified early on to be a long-term commitment. Our original scope of work has increased since we have started and because of that the project schedule has been extended. We keep an open line of communication with the HOA management company daily. Our project team is a committed, highly competent and working diligently to complete the project as fast and safe as they can to see that the residents enjoy their homes.
