I found Farnam Financial by scouring the internet for a financial planning firm that operates on a flat fee rather than charging me a percentage of my portfolio. Farnam is one of two that I found, the other is a company called Facet. After introductory phone calls with both firms, I chose Farnam because I like their investment strategy of using low fee index funds and I liked the idea of working with a local person. I have to admit I we have never met in person, but I still like knowing that I could meet in person and that Farnam has connections to the same community that I am a part of. Having said that, I do recommend Farnam's services no matter where you live. Farnam Financial offers honesty and financial expertise in a very efficient manner while somehow keeping the fees extremely reasonable!!

Jonathan Bird was very generous with his time. He obviously knows his business, gave me valuable suggestions, and kept me from making a serious mistake. Even though my account is currently smaller than his minimum, he treated me as if I were a high roller. I can't recommend him enough if you need a financial planner.

Jonathan is an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable financial advisor. His advice was thorough, and took into account all aspects of my personal finance experience/state. He helped setup a financial plan, and provided a ton of resources and advice to help progress it. Jonathan would be my go to recommendation for financial planning.

I highly recommend Farnam Financial to help you navigate through your financial needs. I started talking with Jonathan about a year ago to learn how his firm operates and to see if we could be a good fit working together. This was the best decision I have made as it relates to trusting a firm to guide me and manage my retirement income. I have not retired yet, however, I am a year away from my date.
