Really loved this dentist office initially for teeth cleaning. Id been a general teeth cleaning patient here for a few months until an old crown of mine (one of my front teeth) got really loose and I needed to get it replaced. I decided to stick with Smile Max for it. Dr. Dubinetsky did a really good job on my procedure. Hes very good with timing during the procedure and making it as painless as possible. Because it was my front tooth, it was very important to match the new tooth to the shade of my other front tooth. I got a temporary cemented in and SM had to send my impressions to their lab, Dani Dental, for it to be made. Its been about a 2 month process and to this day 3/8/24, I still have my temporary in. Here lies the problem: Dani Dental is located in Tempe. I had to drive way to Tempe during the week 4 times over a span of two months to get my shade matched correctly. I had to take time off work every single time to do this because the lab is only open M-F and close at 4 and I work in Phoenix during those same hours and days. *Why is the lab that theyre using so far from the office?* The first time that the dentist, Dani, over at the lab thought she had the correct shade, I was ready to get my permanent crown seated. Dani herself told me that I had to wait for the call from SM to be scheduled for the crown seating. I waited about a week and hadnt received a call from them. I waited until the following Monday to give them a call to see if they had gotten it yet. They got it and scheduled for me to come in. At that appointment, Dr. D realized that the shades did not match, so he temporarily cemented the tooth that they made in, and I had to go back to the lab and show them how it did not match my other tooth. After I get there and Dani figures out the final perfect shade, I waited 2 - almost 3 weeks and once again, hadnt heard anything from SM. So, before I called SM this time, I called Dani Dental first and asked if they had sent my tooth over to SM. They told me that SM has had the tooth since two days after I came in to match my tooth color- BOTH times that I went. This means that SM had my case sitting in their office for weeks and completely forgot about it. ME, the customer, who just paid $1,000+ to get this tooth replaced, had to call and remind THEM that I needed to get my crown seated! I was very upset about this. This entire time Im walking around with two mismatched front teeth and one of them is not permanently seated not to mention this whole time Ive been having to be very mindful about what I eat the half of January and the entire month of February so that it wont come out. I then call SM and let them know my situation. I spoke with a very inconsiderate and unsympathetic receptionist, Mary. She told me that shes putting me on hold to call Dani Dental and confirm that theyd delivered my crown. I was on hold for about 5 minutes. She comes back on the line saying she couldnt get a hold of them so shes going to walk to the back and see if she sees my case there. Puts me on hold for another 5 minutes. Comes back to the phone talking about good news, I found your case! I told her that I knew that you all had my case, how long have you had it? She tells me she doesnt know but she can get me scheduled to get it seated. She did not care, and didnt even acknowledge the experience that I had. I hate that I spent my money here and wasted so much time trying to get what I paid for. Theyre not consistent or keeping up with their clients and their scheduling at all. It should never have taken me from January to March to get this completed when I had to pay in full before I could even start the process! All theyre good for is teeth cleaning and their assistants are really good at that and Dr. D is a really good dentist. Thats all that I can say positive about my experience here since needing my crown replaced.
