About
Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation

Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and youth in foster care by funding services to enrich their life experiences. Since 1984, AFFCF has been providing funding for activities and services that give children in foster care the same opportunities as their peers. From summer camps to career development services to college scholarships, AFFCF aims to improve the lives and enhance the self-esteem of youth in foster care across Arizona.

With more than 12,000 children in foster care in Arizona and nearly 800 young people aging out of the system each year, AFFCF's work is crucial in providing support and resources to these vulnerable individuals. By funding social, athletic, and educational activities, AFFCF seeks to change the story for kids in foster care and give them quality experiences despite their challenging circumstances. Joining AFFCF in their mission is as simple as making a charitable donation that qualifies for the Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit, which can have a significant impact on the lives of children in foster care.

Through programs like Keys to Success, AFFCF provides individualized career planning, education, and employment services to empower youth on the verge of aging out of foster care. Additionally, AFFCF's Post-Secondary Scholarship program funds tuition and fees for young people who have aged out of foster care and are attending higher education institutions in Arizona. With the help of generous donors, AFFCF can continue to support and empower children and youth in foster care, giving them the opportunities they deserve to thrive and succeed.

image As a foster mom I am so thrilled to have this amazing organization. It has helped us with getting tickets for a sibling not in our care to go to Legoland with us, winter formal dresses, yearbook, drivers training, Fry's Gift card, a band trip to Hawaii, and more.
Teens in foster care are costly.
Our teen is in the Keys to Success program and Maddie Poindexter has been an amazing asset to our teen. She is helping us navigate college options, pilot school, and more. Its like having a big sister who cares and follows up. She is cheerleader and encourages our teen to reach for the stars. With the support , help and excellent direction our teen believes in herself. Just parents are not enough. She has her own coach who she can confide in.
Love this organization and its generosity!
My teen will have every advantage with this support and become a productive member of society.
Research shows that kids need at least one advocateone person to believe in them.
This nonprofit is changing lives.
