Next, I asked if they sold a specific blackmagic product called a mini monitor. They did so I went and picked it up. I wasn't sure about the compatibility, and that's my fault for not researching enough, when I got it home it didn't work.
I called to ask them about returns and they hem'd and haw'd and said that they'd check and get back to me. They never called me back.
Now it's months later and after calling blackmagic support, I've come to find out that they don't recommend using this product on a windows machine. That would've been nice to know before buying it.
Again, maybe I should've dug deeper but I feel like I let the experts know how little I knew about this and they didn't help me. Now I'm stuck with a product that is essentially a paperweight.
EDIT: I called back and spoke with Jim and he took the time to explain what we both wish would have been brought up the first time. He does seem to be very knowledgeable and has no problem explaining the in-and -outs of the product line. That being the case, I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars.
