    Management here are just as quick to turn a blind eye to MAJOR issues as they are to charge tenants fines for even the most minor of issues. Parking is abysmal and they do not inform tenants that they dont get one of the covered spots (that they advertise having) prior to being locked into a lease. Beyond that, they still try to charge you for the covered spot even if you dont have one. There was a major safety issue with the pool (electrocution risk) until the city of Phoenix stepped in and forced them to close it until repaired. Thats just one of many advertised amenities that were broken. When the pool was finally reopened - several months later - there were many instances of homeless people blatantly bathing in it. The washers and dryers were constantly broken as well. Once they have your money its nearly impossible to get them to answer phone calls. Also, if you live here you should fully expect and prepare for your catalytic converter to get stolen as it happened to multiple residents there. I know thats not the responsibility of the property managers but they shouldnt claim they have security patrolling when its one person doing one lap at 930pm then parking and sleeping in their car. P.S. good luck getting your security deposit back at all

    Must update my review. The situation at THE VENUE ON CAMELBACK has vastly improved. Management has become exceedingly and expeditiously responsive even if immediate phone contact is never available . Attention to and maintenance has improved exponentially. I would be negligent is not mentioning the superb attention to task exhibited by maintenance staff members Tim and Brian - BRAVO ZULU. Please refer to my original post several years ago. Under existing circumstances I highly recommend THE VEVUE ON CAMELBACK. This posting was made over 3 years ago. The situation has changed drastically since. At present management is unavailable, unresponsive and unconcerned about resident requests and concerns. I cannot under existing conditions recommended this complex to anyone. If concerned about location, there is no better area or location in the Phoenix metro area. Everything that anyone might need, including a public library, is within easy walking distance and public transportation is at the door. This is an older, better constructed complex which is being continually upgraded. The management staff is exceptionally professional, friendly and responsive. The grounds and pool(s) are well maintained and requests for maintenance are responded to as cordially and expeditiously as possible. This is a large complex which is managed unbelievably well. One of the most wonderful aspects is the generational/age mix of the residents.

    Huge shoutout to Brian on the maintenance team. Coolest guy - had a problem with a leaking fridge for awhile now and he came and replaced it all and fixed the plumbing for the disposal as well as the sink in the bathroom. Big weight off the shoulders, thank you Brian. Youre awesome!

    I have been at the Venue for 3 years. I am very happy with the customer service and resolutions of my maintenance and administrative requests. They do not have a very large staff compared to the amount of residents and future residents but they do a great job.

    I have been at this apartment complex for two weeks and have had to put in nearly 10 maintenance requests upon move-in. Also, the unit was not ready until 12PM on move-in day as they were cleaning the apartment the day of, lol. I had to wait an hour to start getting things moved into the unit and floors were wet when I walked in. The outlets in the bedroom were not working. The water in bathroom has been running for two weeks straight. Closet door falling off multiple times. Water in kitchen sink does not work. Shelf broken in half upon move-in. Air filters not changed from previous tenant. Loose toilet and more issues. These complexes really do cut corners whenever possible. The only positive is that maintenance has been great about fixing things quickly and work hard to keep up with all of these issues. However, I do not recommend this complex after so many problems and inconveniences from the getgo. These things should have all been addressed with an inspection prior to moving in. EDIT: I woke up at 5:30AM to a COCKROACH crawling down my shirt just three weeks into my residency. EDIT #2: Dishwasher no longer working after three weeks into residency. EDIT #3: Half of the washers and dryers in laundry facilities do not work, but machines will still charge you anyway. This means that you will have to put in a refund or chargeback request every time you do laundry due to broken and outdated machines. EDIT #4: My MacBook was stolen from me after being delivered to my doorstep just two months into residency. When trying to resolve this issue, management was zero help and proactively silenced me from posting to our community forum to express my concerns and seek aid from fellow residents in order to make themselves look better, and not alarm residents of the very unfortunate reality of things. With that, renters insurance offered by BH Management does not cover personal items, just damage to the unit itself, rendering it completely useless in this situation. Had I known this, I would not have enrolled in the first place. STAY AWAY.
