In response to the complaint by Ms Simm, there was no effort made to contact me to resolve the apparent complication to the surgery. We attempted to conact Ms Simm after reading her review to no avail. We do everthing within our power to help our patients, alleviate their pain, and solve the problems that are presented to us. If there was a problem, I would have done everything possible to rectify this. Unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to help this patient. Dr. Saltzman

This was my experience with Dr. Saltzman. He was a very nice person and he explained what he was going to do. I had a dog that needed surgery because she blew out her ACL ligament otherwise known as blowing out her knee. I consulted with Dr. Saltzman and he assured me he had performed several of the TT2 operations and all had gone well. The only real possible problem that might arise would be if she ended up breaking the leg in the bone operated on because that bone is split which makes it vulnerable. He assured me if that happened, he would take care of it. The surgery went well. At least I assumed it did because I never heard from Dr. Saltzman again. I find it unusual because all surgeons contact the people they work on and I thought I would hear from him. I didn't. We cared for our dog EXACTLY as we were told but, somehow, she did manage to break that leg. How do I know she broke it? She seemed to be getting better and then started limping hard again. I took her in and had it x-rayed. Sure enough, it was broken. The response I got from Dr. Saltzman? Well, there was no response from him at all. The regular vet I was going through said he spoke to Dr. Saltzman and THEY agreed to not do anything to fix her leg. So they didn't. I didn't realize when Dr. Saltzman said he would take care of her if her leg broke, it meant he wouldn't do anything. So I spent over $2000 to have my dogs blown knee operated on and what I ended up with was a dog with a broken leg. She never walked that well again due to extreme pain in her leg. She put on weight and I had to put her down due to complications from that weight gain. Maybe Dr. Saltzman is good at what he does but when he's bad at what he does, he doesn't seem to care or to correct the damage he has caused. I've lost my trust in him but I'm sure he doesn't care because I've never heard from him.
