The one star is for today's experience only. It was very unlike our previous experiences. My wife went to the store this morning to buy two kids gifts for parties our boys are going to this weekend. She also bought a 2 pack of gift bags and batteries. She came home to find the young clerk didn't remember to put the batteries in the bag. Okay no big deal, we'll let them know what happened on our next visit to the store. She goes to wrap the gift needed for today. Turns out one of the bags is cut down the side. Okay no big deal again. We'll return them on our next visit too. My wife goes to the party with our youngest. I go to the store with our oldest. The young man who helped my wife also helps me. Not mentioning anyone in particular, I share with him the batteries weren't put in the bag. I get absolutely no reaction. I also show him the slit down the side on one the gift bags. I provide him the receipt and let him know it was a two pack. He looks lost not knowing what to do. I let him know it was a two pack and the receipt will reflect the amount owed. He begins the return and then asks if I want to buy batteries. I showed him the receipt showing the batteries and they weren't put in the bag. He looks at me again not knowing what to do. There was another clerk present. She wasn't helping anyone so I asked for her help. He proceeds to say I'm rude and starts to call me a D*ck but stops. I ask if he was going to call me that. He then says yeah your a D*ck. I kept my cool and suggest to the other clerk it will be best if she completed the return. Which she did after getting approval from the manager for the batteries. I didn't get an apology for the oversight on the batteries or poor service. I can't say we won't shop here again because I would be lying. However, it sure would be nice to feel appreciated as a customer.

Thank you so much to Courtney who found a rug I wanted that was damaged at another store. She went out of her way to find it for me and couldn't have been sweeter when I went into the store to purchase it. If you want 5 star customer service, go see Courtney at the Happy Valley location! She's the best!

The lady that helped me stopped what she was doing to help me and made sure I didn't need any further help and was very courteous.
