Acclaim Garage Doors

This business is by far the BEST garage door business we have used in the last 6 years period! We had lost a motor and rail. I called several groups and it was cant make it out or just lied about availability! Acclaim could make it out the same day within 3 hours which they did! The owner on the phone suggested a different models for more a silent opener etc. Michael the repair guy, with over 10 years experience suggested the different brand which I was familiar with on our earlier homes . He was methodical with his quote and time to install. He also fixed a couple of other rail issues at no charge. This company was so professional and pleasant to deal with I wanted to write this glowing review. Their quote was no higher than the other businesses I had called! Acclaim ,,5 stars for sure! 1st. off, the tech. Michael arrived on time and gave me a reason he thought I was having an intermittent problem with my existing opener. This part was pretty much irrelevant to me as unfortunately I was already familiar with that particular model from previous experience. Its just what was there when I bought the house last year. I had already decided to replace it by the time he showed up. The opener, which Im guessing could be bought for between $250-$300 cost me $830 installed. A bit pricey for the labor but the job was done quickly and correctly (so far so good) and everything including the button on my car mirror was programmed before he left. Im a senior and can no longer do these installations myself and my handyman wouldve taken much longer. My huge issue is the $149.00 trip/diagnostic fee. This was stated up front so cant say there was any dishonesty there. However, in my past experience most companies will deduct that from the overall cost if one either has the repairs made or in this case the replacement done. It is because of this that I would not recommend this company to any friends or neighbors. Update, 4/20/24: A neighbor, having seen the Acclaim truck at my place had asked me what I thought of them as they also needed a new door opener. Gave an honest answer including what I thought of the non refundable Trip Fee. I saw them this morning, they let me know that they called someone else.

Acclaim garage doors is an exceptional company with great workmanship and customer service. They arrived on time and completed the install of two garage doors in a timely manner. Very courteous and professional staff. They are a Veteran owed and operated company that is a definite plus for me!

They came out quickly and our tech was able to figure out the problem right away. He was very friendly, experienced and explained everything as he was going. Awesome.
