We reached out to Ben for help with our reactive dog Sadie, in addition to training Sadie he worked with us, giving us the tools we needed to work with her at home, she is a totally different dog, and we couldnt have done it without his guidance! He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help you! Beyond thankful!

Ben is an excellent trainer. He did amazing work on our 10 year old Lab and our 10 month old Springer Spaniel (Bentley). With his training, Bentley will become a service dog in the near future. He does not disappoint! Beyond training our dogs, he trained us. My Bentley went from a menace on the leash to a dog who heals, stays by my side, and sits without needing a command. He also performs tasks to help with my anxiety, all with the help from Ben.
We are so impressed with how well behaved our dogs are.

My 8-year-old bichon yorkie was very reactive to all other dogs to the point that he jumped out my ground floor window to go after another dog walking by. He was a runner and would not listen to commands (incredibly sweet but had been through three owners with what seems to be minimal, if any, training from any).
After just 5 days with Ben, I am able to give Moses freedoms I never thought I could. I am able to let Moses walk next to me without holding his leash if desired, he follows my verbal cues when in these situations, responds to my call to come even with distraction and has minimal and sometimes no reaction to other dogs anymore. I could not be more excited and impressed with Ben's work and highly recommend him. Moses was very excited to see him every day and clearly enjoyed his time with Ben. I have already had multiple neighbors comment on how well he is doing.
Ben makes the strategies easy to follow and made sure to spend time explaining, showing and having me practice with him with Moses. Moses even is minimally motivated by treats and Ben was able to create a relationship with him over the 5 days that was incredibly impactful. Ben delivers and I could not be more thrilled with the work he did with my pup.

We had the best experience with Ben, he was very attentive to our concerns with our Aussie. He truly changed Charlies behavior with his in board training.
Ben is professional and experienced, he will take the time to truly explain and teach a better way to take care of your pets behavior and health.

I cant recommend Ben and Shepherd of Hounds enough! He has taken two of our dogs and has done an amazing job with them. Before, my dog, Rocko, couldnt see or walk by another dog without trying to attack it. He was severely dog reactive. Now, after training with Ben, he can even play with other dogs and loves to be around them - even more than he loves to be around people! Ben changed my dogs life. Instead of being scared to walk my dog where a lot of other dogs are around, I can now take my dog with me anywhere, he can meet dogs, and socialize with no issues. That is all thanks to Ben!! He is an amazing trainer and has a true love for dogs and making sure they can live their best life.
