Like most other complaints here, Rocky Mountain Restoration (RMR) has invoiced $6000+ for work that was never agreed upon, nor completed. I had a small leak, and my plumber recommended RMR for restoration of the 2'x2' damaged section of drywall. The sales representative (rep) spoke with me via phone and advised he would inspect the damaged area and provide an estimate for restorative work. I was not present during the "inspection", so imagine my surprise when I arrive to see dry-out equipment set up in the area. I then reached out to the sales rep three additional times to request an estimate prior to proceeding with any repairs. I did not receive any response back, nor did I receive any estimates. The crew returned to my residence a few days later to collect materials that were left behind, with no plan for follow up. Weeks go by and I still do not receive an estimate for restorative work. Instead, I receive a letter via mail threatening to lien my property if I do not pay an "outstanding invoice" of $6000+ for "work completed" during the "inspection". A deeper dive into said "invoice" (and BBB/Yelp/Google complaints) suggests RMR is committing insurance fraud. Incorrect measurements, fees added for work that was not attempted nor completed, false scope of work, inflated quantities of material used, charges for emergency situation added (literally not an emergency by any stretch of the imagination). All invoiced, when I did not request any of this to be completed. I only requested the estimate. I can only attribute the many discrepancies to: 1) sales rep incompetence. 2) intentional misrepresentation to exacerbate insurance claims (FRAUD). 3) predatory business practices. Many attempts to rectify the invoice have fallen short over the past few months. On 7/7/23 via phone, RMR billing rep admitted they are incapable of rectifying wrongful/fraudulent invoicing, even if an entity within the company is at fault. I filed a complaint with BBB last week and still have not received a resolution from RMR. They respond with something along the lines of "We're conducting an internal investigation." For months they've been "investigating"...... Luckily the ROC has investigators too!
